About Shane Lashley, MA

Shane Lashley is a facilitator who focuses on creating lifestyle plans for the patients of Healing Hands Holistic Health. Under the direction and oversight of Dr. Melita, Shane uses various lifestyle and functional assessments, nutritional evaluations, and specific lab tests to create a customized lifestyle and nutrition plan for each patient.  

Prior to entering the health profession, Shane spent more than 20 years as a consultant to CEO’s, entrepreneurs, and attorneys regarding innovation, intellectual property, and financial management in hyper-growth companies.

It was in that world that Shane lost his health and learned firsthand the value of proper self-care. After restoring his own health, Shane decided to pursue an advanced education in health topics that would allow him to serve as a consultant to both physicians and patients. He founded a concierge lifestyle medicine consulting practice for physicians and clients, established a clientele from around Texas, and in 2019, joined forces with Dr. Melita Williams to help launch Healing Hands Holistic Health.

Shane earned two master’s degrees from the University of Dallas Graduate School of Management: a master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters in Management specializing in Corporate Finance (M.Mgt.).

Shane earned his certification in corrective exercise through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is certified as a Level 2 Fitness Nutrition Coach by Precision Nutrition.

A lifelong learner, Shane is currently pursuing the completion of several health credentials.  

  • Diplomate as an Anti-Aging, Metabolic and Functional Medicine Health Practitioner (ABAAHP) through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M).
  • Board certification in advanced medical nutrition therapy through the Board of Certified Nutritionist Specialists.
  • Master of Science in Health Sciences (MSHS) in Integrative Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
  • Dr. Daniel Amen’s Brain Health Coaching Certification Program
  • Dr. Dale Bredesen’s RECODE Practitioner Certification for reversing cognitive decline due to Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

Shane is not a physician and does not diagnose or treat disease. His tools, expertise, and training are directed toward empowering patients to take more control over their health outcomes by adopting new habits and using proven resources to help activate the body’s own natural healing capacities. Shane and Dr. Melita collaborate on patient care plan development, in-clinic therapies, and at-home lifestyle strategies so that each patient receives the treatment and empowerment opportunities they need to achieve their health goals.

Shane serves on the board of directors for Wipe Out Kids Cancer, a non-profit organization dedicated to research and development for rare pediatric cancers.
