She advised the patient to avoid such allergens and prescribed an Epi pen to be used in the event of a life -threatening Allergic reaction. The patient was impressed with the experience that the visit was only for Immigration purposes yet she learnt a lot about her allergens and realized how it impacted her medications and lifestyle in general. Mary Alaina Burbage graduated with a Master of Science Nurse Practitioner degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Nursing from Georgetown University. She has been working in primary care as a family NP since 2016. Before that, she was an RN at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
