After graduating with his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Wells began practicing Family Medicine at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. He eventually moved to Selma Family Health Care, where he continued to practice Family Medicine, until he opened his own private practice, J. Darrick Wells MD, Inc., in 1996. Dr Wells continued to provide Family Medical Care for 22 years, before transitioning into the Urgent Care field of medicine.
Dr. Wells’ awards are numerous and extensive, including: the Richard D Steed Scholar Award, the All-Academic Award, the Associated Press Honorable-Mention, & Phi Beta Kappa.
