Tammy studied for her Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), graduating in 2006. She completed her Master of Nursing Education at the University of Phoenix in 2008, followed by a Master of Healthcare Administration. In 2010, she returned to UTHealth to undertake her post-Master of Science in nursing with a family nurse practitioner focus.
Tammy gained considerable experience in her role as a nurse at the pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit at the Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas. Meet Dr. Swaraj Bose, MD
Dr. Swaraj Bose is a leading neuro-ophthalmologist, orbital surgeon and strabismus specialist serving patients in Beverly Hills and Culver City area, providing the best care for a broad array of conditions, including complex and specialty issues such as optic neuropathies, lacrimal disorders, eyelid disorders, cranial nerve palsies and ocular diseases. As an accomplished surgeon and research scientist, Dr. Bose works closely with patients to determine the best course of care for optimal outcomes, even in the most complex cases. After receiving his bachelor of science degree in zoology at Delhi University, Dr. Bose completed his medical degree at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi and an internship and residency in general medicine and ophthalmology in India. Upon his arrival in the U.S., he completed an additional internship in internal medicine at the Veterans Administration Hospital and New York University Medical Center, and a residency in ophthalmology at New York University Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Bose has completed fellowships in neuro-ophthalmology, neuroplastics and orbital surgery (Doheny Eye Institute University of Southern California – Los Angeles), neurovascular neuro-ophthalmology (New York University Medical Center and New York Eye & Ear Infirmary), and glaucoma research and visual psychophysics (Scheie Eye Institute, University of Pennsylvania).
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Bose is an associate professor of ophthalmology and neurology at the University of California, Irvine, and an attending physician at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Jennifer E. Martin, CPNP-PC, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner who provides outstanding services to patients of THINK Neurology for Kids at our Gulf Coast location in Lake Jackson.
Jennifer obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University at College Station in 2005 with a major in English. Following her passion for healthcare, she pursued an undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center where she graduated in 2008.
Her commitment to pediatric care led her back to the same university for nurse practitioner school, where she graduated in 2011 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
Jennifer has received advanced training in pediatric neurology, including concussion, headache, epilepsy, autism, and developmental disorders.
Prior to joining THINK Neurology, she gained valuable experience in critical care at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, where she met Dr. Varghese and Dr. Marchesano.
Her clinical background also includes roles in the pediatric primary care and pediatric urgent care settings.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Jennifer spending time with her husband and their children, reading good books, baking chocolate chip cookies, and running with her weimaraner puppy, Pepper.

Alicia R. Walls, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician specializing in attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and child development. She treats patients at THINK Neurology for Kids in Sugar Land, Texas.

Lorena Herbert, M.D. is a thoughtful and caring board-certified pediatric neurologist who takes care of young patients through THINK Virtual Health. Dr. Herbert was born and raised in Brazil and moved to Texas with her parents and younger brother when she was a teenager. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at UT Austin and majored in human biology. After graduating, she enrolled at the McGovern Medical School in Houston to complete her medical degree. Following graduation, Dr. Herbert completed a two-year residency in pediatrics and a combined three years of residency in adult and child neurology at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, and gained research experience in functional neurological disorders.

A native of Dallas, Dr. Varghese grew up with an interest in science and sports. He studied at Austin College in Sherman, Texas, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration in 2004 while completing his pre-med courses. He was awarded the Bryant Boutwell, Dr. P.H., and John P. McGovern, M.D., Scholarship in 2004, and received nominations for the 2006 Research Forum and C. Frank Webber Prize, and the 2008 Neuroscience Research Center Distinguished Medical Student Award. Dr. Varghese obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2009.
Following graduation, Dr. Varghese completed a two-year residency in pediatrics and a combined three years of residency in adult and child neurology at the University of Texas Medical School, which is the largest medical center in the world. He served as chief resident in the Department of Child Neurology from 2013-2014, before starting his private practice, THINK Neurology for Kids.
Dr. Varghese also provides services at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, where he delivers consultant services for the neonatal intensive care unit (ICU) and pediatrics unit. Sundeep Mandava, MD, is a board-certified child neurologist with additional fellowship training in epilepsy. He diagnoses and treats patients at THINK Neurology for Kids, which has branches in The Woodlands, Katy, Sugar Land, and Austin, Texas.
Dr. Mandava was born in Dallas and grew up in the greater Houston area. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in bioengineering from Rice University in 2012. After graduating, he completed medical school training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.
Dr. Mandava completed his five-year child neurology residency at Saint Louis University in 2021, followed by a one-year epilepsy fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in 2022. During this time, he participated in research in genetic testing in epilepsy.
Outside of work, Dr. Mandava and his wife enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, and attempting to discover all the great food that Houston has to offer.
