A native of Kashmir, Dr. Qadri cherished a dream of being a physician and surgeon like her father. As the valedictorian from her high school, she applied to medical school and won a full scholarship to one of the most prestigious medical schools in India, Government Medical College.
Dr. Qadri did her residency at Beaumont Health – Dearborn, one of the leading health care systems in the state of Michigan. She won multiple awards in residency including the SMFM (Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine) award for excellence in Obstetric care, the SASGOG (Society of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology) award, best Intern in her class, and multiple CREOG achievement awards. She was also active in scholarly activities during her residency and led various initiatives for system-wide changes in the hospital. She attended the University of California, Berkeley in Berkley, California, and then obtained her medical degree from the University of California San Francisco Parnassus Campus in San Francisco, California.
