At Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., Dr. Chanel Perkovic Chami, DO, is honored to care for women in and around Rochester Hills, Troy, and Lenox, Michigan. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care and building lasting relationships with her patients.
Dr. Chami earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan before completing her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to complete her residency training at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit where she gained certifications in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery and the da Vinci robotic system.
A lifelong Michigander, she has always valued staying close to family and community. Her journey in women’s health began at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. back in 2016, where she worked as a medical scribe before pursuing her medical training. After years of dedication and education, she is proud to return to the same practice to care for women and families in her hometown.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Chami enjoys exploring her creative side in the kitchen and discovering new restaurants in the area. Joseph Love, M.D., is a board-certified OB/GYN and managing partner of Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan. Dr. Love is committed to compassionate patient care and has a special interest in obstetrics and minimally invasive surgery.
After completing his undergraduate degree from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, Dr. Love went on to earn his medical degree from Wayne State Medical School in Detroit. Lauren Shaddox, MSN, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife on the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., which has offices in Rochester Hills, Troy, and Lenox, Michigan.
Lauren completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Prior to earning her Master’s degree, she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language and literature from the University of Colorado.
Before moving to Michigan with her family, Lauren worked for over a decade as a nurse and a midwife at a large hospital in Dallas, Texas, where she cared for thousands of families with a specific focus on individualized and supportive care. Lauren is grateful for every patient and family she has ever served, because each one has taught her important lessons about life and the art and science of midwifery.
Lauren’s professional interests include patient-centered care and shared decision-making, trauma-informed care, perinatal mental health, and breastfeeding support. Lauren is fluent in Spanish.

Jennifer Peng, M.D., is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist specializing in the care of women of all ages at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. Dr. Peng sees patients at the practice’s two convenient locations in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.
A native Texan (Howdy!), Dr. Peng lived in California and Taiwan prior to moving to Michigan. She started college at 16 years old and went to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she completed her degree in Neuroscience in three years.
Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Peng went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Texas before moving to Michigan for her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Beaumont-Royal Oak. While there, she had the honor of working as the chief resident in her last year and graduated with the Harold Longyear Award (Top graduating resident).

Buffie started her nursing career in the United States Army as a combat medic. She went on to earn her associate’s degree in nursing from San Antonio College in Texas, her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and her Master of Science in Nursing as a certified nurse-midwife from Wayne State University.
She has traveled extensively, following her husband’s military career, and has been blessed to work in many different areas of nursing, including pediatrics, labor and delivery, postpartum, and outpatient women’s health. Buffie was a certified childbirth educator and instructed classes in Kansas, West Virginia, and South Korea. She is also a certified physical fitness instructor-trainer for the US Army Pregnancy Physical Training Program.

Dr. Morgan attended Michigan State University (MSU) College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, graduating within the top ten percent of her class. She stayed at MSU to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology.

Sophie completed her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery at Yale School of Nursing. Prior to earning her Master's degree, she received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan, with a major in ecology. During her midwifery program she worked as a nurse at a freestanding birth center. She worked as a midwife in New York's Hudson Valley and Kalamazoo before returning home to southeast Michigan to provide care in 2021.
Sophie's professional interests include preventive and preconception care and perinatal education. She loves supporting patients and families of all kinds throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey. Dr. Sapick earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio. She went on to complete her residency training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, and has been in private practice since 2005. Her special interests include high-risk obstetrics, complicated pelvic surgery, and minimally invasive gynecology techniques.
Originally from the Cincinnati area, Dr. Sapick has resided in Michigan since 2001. She is excited to be permanently settling in the area after her marriage in 2008. Many of her former patients may also recognize her by her maiden name of “Steenken.”

Dr. Yoon has been in practice since 2011, primarily in Southwest Michigan. He grew up in Florida and received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry/Biochemistry at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Yoon moved to Iowa to pursue his Doctor of Osteopathy at Des Moines University. He completed his OB/GYN residency in the St. John Hospital system.
Dr. Yoon enjoys all aspects of women’s health, most especially the wonderful relationships he is able to build with his patients over the years and the opportunity to care for them through all phases of life.
