Wanda P. Adefris, MD, FACOG, is a compassionate and dedicated OB/GYN physician, surgeon and a founding partner of Adefris & Toppin Women’s Specialists, in Woodbury, Minnesota. She is an expert in a wide range of OB/GYN services and has come to be well-loved by both her patients and colleagues alike.
Dr. Adefris earned her undergraduate degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, before moving on to Temple University in Philadelphia, where she obtained her medical degree. Following medical school, Dr. Adefris completed both her internship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Following several years of private practice in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Adefris and her family moved to Minneapolis, where she has been ever since.

Dr. George chose a career in OB/GYN because she enjoys empowering and caring for women from puberty through menopause. Dr. George is originally from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Dr. George then pursued a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she also specialized in Global Health. She stayed at UW-Madison where she then completed her Doctor of Medicine. She then went to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana where she rounded out her training with a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After graduation, she moved back north to the Twin Cities to be closer to family. She has loved exploring and getting to know the Twin Cities area so far. Outside of the office, Dr. George also enjoys traveling, hiking, trying new restaurants, and going to see musicals at the theater.
