Dr. David Seil Kim, MD, PhD, is a board-certified OB/GYN with nearly 30 years of experience in women’s health, advanced surgical care, and medical education. As the founder of Yunella Women’s Health in the Mid City West area of Los Angeles, California, Dr. Kim is committed to providing patient-centered care that blends modern technology with compassion.
Dr. Kim earned his BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego and his MD from SUNY Downstate before completing his OB/GYN residency at George Washington University. He later received a PhD in Clinical Research and an MBA from the University of Hawaii through an NIH-funded program, bringing a unique academic and research perspective to his clinical practice.
For 15 years, Dr. Kim served at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he held leadership roles, including Assistant and Interim Program Director of the OB/GYN Residency Program. He has also taught at UCLA, USC, and Charles Drew University, shaping the next generation of physicians.
Nationally recognized with awards such as Castle Connolly Top Doctor 2025 and Los Angeles Magazine Top Doctor (2020–2024), Dr. Kim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, an ABOG Oral Examiner, and a Fellow of ACOG. His clinical interests include fertility, PCOS, menopause, and weight management, with services available both in-office and via telehealth.
