Caroline Paster graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she received the Spirit of Midwifery Award along with Clinical and Academic Excellence Awards. Caroline received her Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience and Women’s Studies from Syracuse University and completed a post-baccalaureate at New York University. Caroline previously worked as a midwife at Coney Island Hospital servicing a diverse population of patients. She was recently awarded the 2016 Outstanding Preceptor Award from the American College of Nurse Midwives. Caroline thoroughly enjoys her work in obstetrics and gynecology and is also involved in training student midwives.

Nicola Pemberton, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist and the medical director of The Birth Center of New Jersey in West Union, New Jersey. From 2006 to 2016, Dr. Obianwu worked as the chief of Obstetrics at Virtua-Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, New Jersey. While there, he sat on several committees, took on a variety of leadership roles, and piloted the hospital’s da Vinci® robotic surgery program. He continues to serve on the Virtua Hospital Robotic Steering Committee.
