Dr. Kunnel earned his dental degree at Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, where he also completed his residency in advanced general dentistry and earned his Master of Science in Biomaterials. He then went on to the University of Illinois, where he completed specialty training in Orthodontics and earned a master’s in Oral Biology. During that time, he also completed a PhD in Bone Biology at Northwestern University Medical School.

Dr. Kunnel is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He’s also a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the International Association of Dental Research, and the American Association of Orthodontics.

In addition to his clinic work at RISUS Orthodontics, Dr. Kunnel is also active in teaching the next generation of orthodontics. Dr. Lai specializes in creating beautiful smiles. He provides his expertise and advice on the best possible options for straightening teeth, braces, aligners, orthodontic appliances and more. Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Lai graduated from the University of Southern California in 2003, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery and spent seven years practicing as a general dentist in Arizona and Nevada. He then returned to residency for his orthodontic certificate at Roseman University in Henderson, Nevada, graduating in 2013.

Having practiced orthodontics for the past 8 years in different types of settings such as large DSOs, private general practice offices and orthodontic offices has given him valuable experience to handle just about any situation that may present on a daily basis. More importantly, it has given him the knowledge to provide excellent patient care. Not only is Dr. Lai a highly-skilled professional but he is kind, down-to-earth, has a wonderful chairside manner and we are proud to have him on our team.

Hello, I am Dr. G. I grew up in Los Angeles, CA. and moved to Boston, MA for dental school and residency training. After completing my training, I moved back to LA to be closer to family. My treatment philosophy is to deliver high-end and custom-tailored orthodontic treatment to accommodate anyone who desires a beautiful smile! 

When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy playing and watching basketball. I spend the rest of my time with my wife, son and our families and friends. We love cooking, travelling and sometimes just relaxing on the couch for movie nights. I look forward to meeting you.

Tania Ohebsion, DDS, is an experienced orthodontist at Century City Smiles & Orthodontics in Westwood / Century City, California. She is dedicated to providing high quality, personalized dentistry and orthodontics treatments to patients throughout Los Angeles.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Ohebsion is blessed to serve the oral health care needs of those in her hometown. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating summa cum laude and earning a full scholarship as a Regent Scholar. She then attended the UCLA School of Dentistry, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. During graduation, the American Association of Women Dentists awarded her the Eleanor J. Bushee Senior Student Award for academic excellence and outstanding leadership. 

Dr. Ohebsion chose a career in orthodontics because she wanted to have an impact on someone’s life in a positive, personal way that would last a lifetime. After attending UCLA for both her undergraduate and dental degrees, she underwent further training at UCLA’s orthodontic residency program, where she also completed a master’s degree in oral biology. During her residency, she was exposed to numerous cutting-edge techniques in orthodontics taught by world-renowned faculty members. Prior to graduating, the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics selected her as a finalist for the Eugene L. Gottlieb JCO Student of the Year Award.

When Dr. Ohebsion is not seeing patients, she loves doing yoga, biking by the beach, traveling around the world, discovering new restaurants, and watching shows on Netflix. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Shawn, and her three children. 

Robert Cuenin, DDS, MS, is an experienced orthodontist at Cuenin Orthodontics in Danville, California. With the most technologically advanced treatment options, Dr. Robert Cuenin is excited to meet any challenge his patients present.
