Matt Bayes, MD practices sports medicine and specializes in regenerative orthopedics at Bluetail Medical Group. Dr. Bayes welcomes patients in Chesterfield, Missouri and Darien, Connecticut. Patients needing expert treatment for the full range of musculoskeletal injuries and diseases seek his expertise in regenerative treatments such as PRP and BMC.
Dr. Bayes treats professional athletes and weekend warriors alike and focuses on non-operative methods of treatment and rehabilitation. He strives to keep patients moving during their recovery to limit their time away from the game. He’s also skilled in the use of ultrasound for diagnostic and needle-guided procedures.
After receiving his medical degree from Saint Louis University, Dr. Bayes completed his pediatric internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He then moved across the country to Beaufort, South Carolina, where he spent four years as a staff pediatrician and was named the chief of pediatrics at Naval Hospital Beaufort.
In 2008, Dr. Bayes returned to Saint Louis University to complete his fellowship in primary care sports medicine and subsequently earned his board certification.
Before joining Bluetail Medical Group in 2011, Dr. Bayes practiced at the Sports Medicine Institute at the Orthopedic Center of St. Louis. He has extensive experience teaching regenerative medicine and diagnostic ultrasound techniques to physicians from throughout the United States and around the world.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Bayes enjoys jogging, working out, attending youth sports, and spending time with his wife, Jaime, and their kids, Ellie, Tyler, and Josie.

Why pediatrics? Who doesn’t love a snuggle from a baby or getting to play games during the work day? There is nothing I love more than meeting children as babies and getting the special opportunity to work closely with parents to help them grow and flourish.
I joined The Center for Advanced Pediatrics in August 2020, but grew up close by in Ridgefield, CT. While I always knew that I wanted to work in pediatrics, my passion for children grew stronger throughout my clinical rotations while completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Boston College.
I went on to receive my Master’s Degree in Nursing from Columbia University, graduating from the pediatric primary care nurse practitioner program. After graduating, I worked at a pediatric private practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan before moving back to Connecticut. It was there that my love for babies and nutrition continued to grow.
While not at work, I love to travel and spend time with my family and friends. Especially my husband Nick and puppy Henry.

About Us
NeoGraft Hair Restoration, located in Westport, Connecticut, provides an innovative hair loss solution for men and women. Led by hair restoration specialist Dana Brownell, MD, the team is pleased to offer the revolutionary NeoGraft NO SCAR hair transplant system.
NeoGraft is a breakthrough, FDA-approved treatment for hair loss in men and women. As the most advanced hair loss solution available today, NeoGraft is proven to produce natural, virtually undetectable results in men and women. With Dr. Brownell and NeoGraft, hair restoration is easy. Using Follicular Unity Extraction (FUE), NeoGraft removes individual hair follicles from one part of the body for targeted placement in another. Once transplanted, these healthy hair follicles will continue to grow new hair seamlessly. The result is a more natural, fuller hairline and a more confident you. NeoGraft is so precise it can even be used for sideburn and eyebrow restoration. Traditional “strip” methods of hair transplantation, called Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), require the removal of large sections of hair and skin from the back of the head. While this is the most common hair restoration technique, it is surgically invasive and leaves patients with a large, unsightly scar in the harvest area—typically across the back of the head. This is particularly concerning to men who prefer short hairstyles. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a minimally-invasive hair transplant option. Older methods of FUE can be time-consuming and cost-prohibitive. Often, hair follicles can be damaged during transplant due to over-handling or transection. With NeoGraft’s automated FUE process, hair follicles are efficiently removed in a “no-touch” fashion and individually transplanted, without damage, into the thinning or balding area. Most patients experience significant hair growth in just six to eight months. Restore your confidence today. Schedule a consultation by phone or online with Dr. Brownell to learn more about this permanent, minimally-invasive hair restoration solution.
