Dr. Danielle Aretz, DO is a native of San Diego, California and received dual bachelor’s degrees at the University of California, Berkeley concentrating her studies in Cell and Molecular Biology and Nutritional Science. She obtained her medical degree from Touro University, College of Osteopathic Medicine where engagement of the body’s self-healing mechanisms was emphasized. Dr. Aretz went on to complete her pediatric residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. During her initial footsteps in pediatric medicine, she became keenly aware of an appreciable link between quality of mental wellbeing and quality of physical health as it relates to development of acute and chronic illness and responsiveness to treatment strategies. Dr. Sarwar is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She has over a decade of experience as a pediatrician working with hospitalized patients as well as patients in the urgent care setting. Her work with acute and chronically ill children, as well as her experience as a mother of two, led to her passion for finding alternative means to help children cope with their symptoms.
