Dr. Mark D. Klaiman is the co-founder of Point Performance. He received his Doctorate in Medicine from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Columbia University. He is board certified and has been a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 1994. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Klaiman was a visiting associate in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the National Institutes of Health. He has lectured extensively over the years and has numerous writings and publications focused on the evaluation and management of musculoskeletal soft tissue injuries. Dr. Klaiman received his medical acupuncture training through the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture in 1995 and is recognized as a leading provider of medical acupuncture in the Washington DC region.

Dylan Phillips, MD, is a double board-certified physician in anesthesiology and pain medicine practicing at International Spine Pain & Performance Center, which has offices in Washington, D.C., and Arlington, Virginia. He provides comprehensive interventional pain management care. 

Originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Dr. Phillips studied at Georgetown University, graduating cum laude with a degree in human science. He earned his medical degree from Wright State University, graduating in the top 10% of his class, and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Michigan, followed by fellowship training in chronic and interventional pain at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Prior to joining the International Spine, Pain & Performance Center, Dr. Phillips practiced for four years in Rochester, New York, where he also served as faculty for the Rochester Regional Health PM&R residency program and as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. His clinical interests include interventional spine care and minimally invasive procedures for chronic pain conditions. Dr. Phillips is committed to providing individualized, evidence-based care to help patients achieve lasting pain relief and regain quality of life.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Phillips enjoys cooking, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Dr. Lucy Johnson (periodontist), and their Australian Shepherd, Archie.

Kevin Bedwell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hope College and Schiller International University in Heidelberg Germany before pursuing his Certificate in Physician Assistant Studies. With experience in Spine surgery he began working at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2009 on the Orthopedic team. Because of the Global War on Terror he treated many amputees who lost their limbs in battle. After seven years as a physician and academic at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Arene decided to take her knowledge and experience in treating pain and disability into the community. Stuart Hough, MD, is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both anesthesiology and pain management. He is proud to provide a wide range of services to patients at Pain Management Specialists in Rockville and Frederick, Maryland. 

Dr. Hough earned his bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in New York. He then completed his internship in internal medicine at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York. Upon graduating, he completed his anesthesiology residency and his pain management fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. After his specialty training, Dr. Hough served in the United States Air Force (USAF) for three years, where he directed the interventional pain management clinic at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio. 

In 2001, Dr. Hough moved home to Maryland to enter private practice and joined Pain Management Specialists. Along with Dr. Peruvemba, he joined Privia Medical Group in 2015 as the first speciality pain management group in Privia.
