Brooklyn Pain Doctors is a multi-specialty practice treating patients of all ages. We speak Ukranian, Uzbek and Russian languages. Since 2002, the practice has treated patients with a combination of traditional and alternative medicine. Founded and led by Roman Slavinskiy LAC, the highly experienced team specializes in pain management, neurology, podiatry, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
The practice follows the gold standard of treatment, ensuring outstanding results for every patient. The staff and medical team participate in continuing education and assessments to provide cutting-edge therapies. The team also integrates Western and Eastern medicine practices. Among the staff at Brooklyn Pain Doctors are blind massage therapists, who can offer more focused massage therapy because of their enhanced ability to detect discomfort with their hands that a seeing individual may not.
Patients visit the practice for physical therapy, wound care, and relief from various sources of pain, including neck, back, joint, knee, foot, and shoulder pain. For patient convenience, the practice is wheelchair accessible and is open late on Tuesdays.

A New York native, Paul LaRosa, MS, PT, founded Empire Physical Therapy & Athletic Rehabilitation, PC on the East Side of Manhattan in New York City in 2003.
Paul completed his undergraduate degree at Bucknell University before working for several years as a personal trainer. He went on to earn his master's degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
After starting his practice, Paul earned an additional certification in manual therapy. At Empire PT, he emphasizes the importance of manual adjustments as part of a comprehensive physical therapy strategy.
Paul worked for several years at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, focusing on neurology, post-op care, and orthopedic rehab. Later, he became the supervisor for Lenox Hill's outpatient physical therapy center.
During his time at Lenox Hill, Paul gained valuable experience and training in orthopedic physical therapy. He also honed his expertise in helping patients recover from surgery, traumatic injury, and cardiovascular conditions.
In recent years, Paul has also served as a teaching assistant at Columbia University and a consultant for the Body Works MD home rehab video series. A firm believer in the importance of sports medicine and physical therapy, Paul works to make these treatments accessible to as many people as possible.
When not working, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, their two sons and their dog. He’s a lifelong athlete and gym buff with a particular love of tennis, skiing, and football. Paul is passionate about working with young athletes, and he currently coaches youth baseball and soccer.
