Tariq Hilal, DO, MS, is a sports and spine physician practicing at South Coast Sports and Spine Medicine in Upland and Los Alamitos, California. Dr. Hilal completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Irvine, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences. He then went on to study at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he earned his Masters in Medical Sciences in 2008. Dr. Hilal earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 2012. He completed his subsequent internship at Mount Sinai South Nassau and his residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed an interventional spine fellowship in 2017 under the tutelage of Dr. Christopher Huston who serves as the spine consultant for the NBA's Phoenix Suns.

Dr. Shiao-Lan Li, DPT, is a doctor of physical therapy at Minimally Invasive Medical Group, which has offices in Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and Irvine, California. He performs regular physical therapy, outpatient evaluation, and treatment for orthopedic patients with all body parts. He also coordinates the patient treatment plans with chiropractics, pain management physicians, orthopedic doctors and primary physicians.

As a physical therapist, Dr. Li does not see separate issues relating to only one body part without relation to the rest of the body. Although a specific portion of the body may be the most obviously injured or restricted in its motion, other aspects of the body’s functioning are also immediately impacted, causing the formation of a specific compensatory pattern. The compensating pattern can result in limited recovery in the original area as well as possible future injury in the supporting area. Meet Dr. Flynn

Dr. Flynn’s path to the vocation of physical therapist is not the norm. After graduating from Arizona State University with a B.S. in International Financial Management, he embarked on a career in the financial services industry. Growing frustrated with the lack of benefit he could provide to his clients, Dr. Flynn decided to focus on his passion-movement of the human body. This led Dr. Flynn to seek out options for a career in which he could use his skills to better the lives of others on a physical and mental level.

Dr. Chris Flynn, PT, DPT received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2010. While attending graduate school, he completed advanced coursework in manual physical therapy and assessment of musculoskeletal conditions. Since graduation, he has been practicing outpatient, orthopedic physical therapy. Dr. Flynn believes in treating the whole body entirely, using functional movement assessments to determine the cause of dysfunction. Then, working collaboratively with the patient/client, a solution is tailored to each individual. Dr. Flynn partnered with Dr. Craig-Jones to open Pipeline Physical Therapy with a shared vision to provide a new model of physical therapy focused on overall movement, health and wellness of each individual.

Dr. Flynn was raised in Phoenix, AZ and relocated to Southern California for graduate school in 2008. In his spare time, Dr. Flynn enjoys spending time on the beach and local hiking trails with his wife Antonia, son Ashton and their dog Dolce.

Meet Dr. Wiegers

Maren earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Chapman University in 2025 after completing her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University in 2022. During her doctoral program, she participated in research examining foot mechanics and their relationship to injury risk, helping inform a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to movement assessment and rehabilitation.

She has additional training in pelvic health through completion of Herman & Wallace Level 1 coursework. Her treatment style emphasizes individualized, one-on-one care with a focus on understanding each patient’s goals, movement patterns, and lifestyle to support long-term recovery and performance. Maren was first drawn to physical therapy through her early experiences attending baseball games, where she developed an appreciation for movement, injury recovery, and the role rehabilitation plays in keeping athletes active and performing at their best.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, embroidering, and attending Dodger games.
