Eugene Trembisky is a physical therapist who has been a dedicated member of the GWOG team for 21 years.
Eugene received his Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2001. Prior to his career as a PT, Eugene practiced for seven years as a Registered Nurse at Suburban Hospital.
As a PT, Eugene has been treating numerous patients with a variety of primarily orthopedic conditions helping patients to recover after orthopedic surgeries, fractures and injuries. Eugene is passionate about explaining to patients the nature of their conditions and addressing all issues and concerns to ensure a path to optimal rehabilitation.

Stacey Stuart provides a variety of physical therapy services to adult and youth patients at Advantage Physical Therapy in Falls Church, Virginia. She specializes in pediatric physical therapy services, developmental delays, and the diagnosis and treatment of Torticollis, or wry neck. She is dedicated to helping her patients achieve the best possible overall health.
She is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She received a scholarship to play Division I Field Hockey at Duke University and graduated in 2004 with a major in Environmental Science and Policy. After several knee surgeries and a few years working as a government consultant, Stacey decided to make a change and headed back to school to study physical therapy. She graduated from George Washington University in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at GW, she discovered her love of treating the pediatric population during an internship at Georgetown University Hospital.
Stacey specializes in working with children with Torticollis, developmental delay, CP, hypotonia, Spina Bifida, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, and a variety of rare syndromes. Her treatment philosophy involves a combination of manual therapy, NDT, patient-specific therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and patient/parent education. Mike Reing was born and raised here in Northern Virginia. He graduated from Marymount University in 2001 and has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics since. Mike was certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2003 by the American Physical Therapy Association. Prior to Co-founding Advantage, he was a clinic and group director for a national outpatient physical therapy provider for four years. He specializes in orthopedics with areas of sub-specialization in adult and pediatric oncology rehabilitation, sports rehab programs, cervicogenic headaches, and orthopedic pediatrics. He is affiliated with the Children’s National Medical Center where he is part of the clinical team in both the Late Effects Clinic and the Neuro-Oncology Clinic.
He has presented lectures in a number of his specialty areas to a variety of both physician and patient groups including: control of Chronic Tension Headaches in the pediatric population at “Pediatrics for the Practitioner”, the role of Physical Therapy in lower and upper extremity injuries to the Fairfax Hospital Orthopedic Residents, and the role of exercise and fitness in preventing and controlling late effects at the Life with Cancer Survivorship Conference.
His treatment philosophy involves a combination of manual therapy, patient-specific therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and a strong patient education focus. John Sartore is originally from Evansville, Indiana. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Since his graduation from Marymount University in 2001, John has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Prior to starting Advantage Physical Therapy, John was the clinic manager at a busy outpatient rehabilitation office in Washington, DC. This office was the exclusive provider of physical therapy for the Washington Wizards and Washington Mystics. Following his time there, John worked with one of the top orthopedic surgery groups in Northern Virginia for five years. T Gordon Cort, PT, DPT, is an accomplished and experienced Howard University-trained physical therapist. He is the office manager at Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center’s Greenbelt, Maryland, location.
Dr. Cort has a wealth of experience in orthopedic physical therapy and pain management. He originally graduated from Howard University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy and returned to his alma mater to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Dr. Cort specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of persons with myofascial pain syndrome, chronic pain syndrome, and other myofascial-related disorders. Dr. Jonathan Stacey graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Medicine, Department of Rehab Science, and is the Clinic Director at the Olney office. He comes to PTSMC with a nearly sixteen-year history with the University of Maryland Rehab and Ortho Institute, treating patients with a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological issues, ranging from spinal cord injuries and amputations to Guillain-Barré syndrome and Multiple Sclerosis. He also is very experienced with wheelchair seating and positioning as well as vestibular rehabilitation. Jonathan is also skilled at assessing and treating spine and pelvis dysfunction and gait and balance issues. He is very passionate about his career and views his patients as family members, deserving of all the same care, compassion, and attention. He also enjoys teaching. Dr. Stacey is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor, with many former interns now successful DPTs. Emilia Kubera-Shelton is a well-experienced Doctor of Physical Therapy with a passion for outpatient care at the Bowie and Laurel locations of Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center. She started her career at UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
