Dr. Kamalani Hanamaikai, DO, is a distinguished board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, specializing in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He is currently serving patients at HealthyU Clinics, with locations in Surprise, Paradise Valley, and Gilbert, Arizona.
Born and raised in Provo, Utah, Dr. Hanamaikai is of Hawaiian, Japanese, and Navajo descent, enriching his perspective and approach to patient care. He is fluent in Spanish, a skill honed during his LDS mission in Montevideo, Uruguay. After earning his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, he pursued his medical education at the A.T. Still University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona, graduating in 2014.
Dr. Hanamaikai furthered his medical training at The University of Arizona in Tucson, where he completed his internship in Internal Medicine, Residency in Diagnostic Radiology, and Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He has developed expertise in a wide range of advanced Interventional Radiologic procedures, including atherectomy, interventional oncology, interventional pain, vertebral augmentation, musculoskeletal procedures, trauma management, and many other advanced Interventional Radiologic procedures.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Hanamaikai is passionate about education and knowledge sharing. He serves as a professor of Medical Imaging and Anatomy at his alma mater, A.T. Still University. He has also been a Grand Rounds speaker at The University of Chicago in 2022 and a keynote speaker at the Radiology Expo 2022, where he shared his journey and passion for Radiology.
As a member of the American College of Radiology, Society of Interventional Radiology, and Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society, Dr. Hanamaikai is committed to staying at the forefront of his field. Alit Yousif, MD is our Center for Breast Health Medical Director. She graduated from Wayne State Medical School, held her internship and residency at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn Michigan, and finally her Fellowship in Neuroradiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan.
Dr. Yousif comes to us from the Imaging Division at Karmanos Cancer Institute where she held a position as a diagnostic radiologist and investigator. In 2010 she joined the neuroradiology team and aided in developing advanced MR imaging protocols including MR spectroscopy and functional MRI.
During this time, Dr. Yousif’s interest and focus on women’s wellness and breast imaging grew; as she directed her diagnostic and academic skills to renowned Karmanos Cancer Center’s Walt Breast Center. As Principal Investigator on several clinical trials, she eventually became Director of Breast Imaging in 2018.
Dr. Yousif specializes in all modalities of breast imaging and performs minimally invasive breast procedures including image-guided biopsies.
Dr. Yousif’s research interests include breast cancer risk stratification, breast density, and early breast cancer detection. Her primary goals are to promote appropriate breast screening and to be responsible for increasing women’s health resources in our community.
On a more personal note, Dr. Yousif’s recreational hobbies include sketching, painting in watercolors, spending time with family, and surrounding herself with positive people who have a healthy funny bone.

Oscar Sosa, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologist specializing in vascular and interventional radiology. With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Sosa is the medical director of Vascular & Interventional Specialists in Miami, Florida.
He received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 1995 and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center in 1999. Following his residency, Dr. Sosa returned to Miami to pursue fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital.
After completing his fellowship in 2000, Dr. Sosa joined Miami Radiology Associates, PA, at Cedars Medical Center as a diagnostic and interventional radiologist. In 2002, he joined Diagnostic Imaging Associates, LLC, at Baptist Health Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, where he worked for seven years in a similar role.
Dr. Sosa became the medical director at the Vascular & Interventional Specialists in 2007, where he currently practices vascular and interventional radiology. He holds professional memberships in the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, American Medical Association, Florida Radiological Society, Florida Medical Association, and American College of Phlebology.

Kush Shah, MD, MBA, is a skilled radiologist at Vascular & Interventional Specialists in Miami, Florida. Dr. Shah joined the team in 2020.
A graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2014, Dr. Shah completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in diagnostic radiology, followed by a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital from 2015-2020.
With extensive training in interventional oncology and hepatobiliary procedures, as well as innovative therapies including prostate artery embolization and uterine artery embolization, Dr. Shah is skilled in performing a diverse spectrum of endovascular surgery procedures. Dr. Gaurav Goswami is a super specialist, triple board-certified in surgery, interventional radiology, and regenerative medicine. For the past 15 years, he has been focused on developing advanced stem cell treatment protocols for orthopedic, spine, and sports injuries. He founded the Goswami Clinic in Newport Beach in 2009 and expanded the practice to Dubai 2018.

He then worked as a surgical research fellow at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and completed a residency in radiology at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in New York, where he was again named chief resident. Dr. Goswami completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Virginia through the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. During his fellowship, he twice earned a research fellow award from the Radiological Society of North America.
Dr. Goswami’s first book, The Stem Cell Cure, co-authored by Kerry Johnson, PhD, was published by Humanix Books in 2020. In 2021, he was awarded the Top 100 Healthcare Visionaries Award at the International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare in Las Vegas.
