William S. Kizer, MD, is a highly trained urologist at the Associated Urologists of North Carolina, practicing out of their Cary and Dunn offices. Dr. Kizer began his medical career at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology, graduating with honors. While he was at Baylor, he was an active member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honors Society. Dr. Kizer received his medical degree from the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long Medical School, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. 

He went on to serve in the U.S. Army, where he completed his postdoctoral training, beginning with a general surgery internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He rounded out his clinical training with a urology residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. During his residency, Dr. Kizer participated in a humanitarian surgical mission to Honduras.

In all, he served in the U.S. Army for more than a decade as an active duty urologist, completing his duty at the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he was the chief of urology. William Rawls, MD, MSCR, board-certified urologist and North Carolina native brings academic practice experience to Associated Urologists of North Carolina, practicing out of the Apex and Raleigh offices. Dr. Rawls graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston to receive his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Science in Clinical Research. He further refined his skills through a general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Louisville. Prior to joining Associated Urologists of North Carolina, Dr. Rawls contributed significantly to the academic medical community while practicing at East Carolina University.

With a special focus on minimally invasive surgery, including robotic techniques, Dr. Rawls is passionate about enhancing patient outcomes and minimizing recovery times. He enjoys caring for patients with general urology issues, including benign prostate enlargement, urinary incontinence, local or advanced urological cancer, and kidney stones. Seasoned urologist, Scott Baker, MD, brings nearly two decades of experience in urology and urologic surgery to the Associated Urologists of North Carolina, practicing out of their Raleigh office.

Dr. Baker began his professional education at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he graduated magna cum laude, with special honors, and earned his Bachelor of Science in biology. 

After receiving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Baker remained in Washington, DC, and enrolled in the George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Baker excelled in the program and earned his Doctor of Medicine. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Baker pursued a residency in general surgery and urology at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri.

Dr. Baker enjoys practicing general urology and serving the unique needs of men, women, and children. However, his areas of special interest include urologic oncology and endourology. He is a urologic oncologist (surgeon) and urologist and works very closely with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other surgeons to treat tumors in a multi-disciplinary fashion. Our very experienced clinical team greatly assists in managing your care in comprehensive and compassionate care. We strive to offer novel and often aggressive treatments for patients with few other options. My patients are often approached to participate in clinical trials and other research studies so that we can improve cancer care for future patients. I prefer to use minimally invasive surgical techniques when possible and feel comfortable handling complex cancer cases that require larger incisions. I try to individualize patient care as much as possible and consider myself privileged to care for another human being. My areas of expertise are bladder, kidney, and prostate cancer. 

Dr. Miyad Movassaghi is one of the newest additions to Associated Urologists of North Carolina, practicing out of the Wake Forest and Raleigh offices. Dr. Movassaghi has a particular interest in stone disease, robotic-assisted surgery for both benign urologic conditions and genitourinary cancers, minimally invasive surgery treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and prosthetic surgery for erectile dysfunction.  
Dr. Movassaghi completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University and went on to obtain a Master’s of Science in Immunology and Infectious Diseases from the University of Maine. Following his graduate studies, he completed medical school at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut and then went on to complete a Urologic Surgery Residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/New York Presbyterian in New York, one of the top ranked urology programs in the country by U.S. News and World Report.

Brian C. Bennett, MD, is an accomplished urologist who has been dedicated to compassionate patient care for more than three decades. Today he is a board-certified urologist at the Associated Urologists of North Carolina, currently seeing patients out of their Cary and Raleigh offices. 

He began his medical career as an undergraduate student at Pennsylvania State University. Upon graduation, Dr. Bennett went on to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Bennett completed his postdoctoral clinical training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he first did an internship, followed by residencies in general surgery and urology.

When he isn’t busy helping his patients at the Associated Urologists of North Carolina, Dr. Bennett is active in numerous medical associations, including the American Board of Urology, American Urological Association, American Urological Association — Southeastern Section, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the Wake County Medical Society.

Expert urologist Joseph Neighbors, Jr., MD, brings nearly three decades of experience in urology and urologic surgery to the Associated Urologists of North Carolina, practicing out of their Raleigh office.

Dr. Neighbors was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. He began his professional education at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry. After graduation, Dr. Neighbors pursued training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 1990. Dr. Neighbors subsequently completed an internship in general surgery, also at the Medical College of Virginia. 

The following year, Dr. Neighbors decided to further his postgraduate medical training by completing additional general surgery experience, followed by a residency in urology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. 

Dr. Neighbors is board-certified by the American Board of Urology and proudly holds membership in the American Urological Association, North Carolina Urological Association, and North Carolina Medical Society. 

Dr. Neighbors regularly cares for patients with general urologic problems, but his special areas of interest include urologic malignancies, endourology, prostate enlargement, and robotic prostate surgery. 

During the course of his career, Dr. Neighbors has served as Chairman of the Division of Urology for Wake County and a member of the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Neighbors also participated in several committees at the University of North Carolina Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. Board-certified urologist Daniel Khera-McRackan, MD, practices medicine with a holistic approach. Dr. Khera-McRackan graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charlestown and completed a urology residency at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. Dr. Pienkny is a transplanted New Yorker who received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Brown University, and then went on to Harvard Medical School where he received his M.D. in 1994. He completed his urology residency at the Cleveland Clinic, before settling in the Bay Area in 2000. Dr. Pienkny is Board Certified in urology, and practices general adult urology with a special interest in voiding dysfunction, incontinence and vasectomies. He also performs minimally invasive surgeries for enlarged prostates, and kidney stones.

Dr. Pienkny has been a past member of the medicare committee for Alta Bates Medical Group. He is an active member of both the American Urological Society as well as the California Urological Society.

Dr. Greg Barme joins Golden Gate Urology after 15 years in private community practice in Newport Beach. California. He served on the Medical Executive Committee and as the Chairman of Urology at Hoag Memorial Hospital, a large, community based medical center in Newport Beach. Dr. Barme grew up in Los Angeles and went to U.C. Berkeley for his one undergraduate degree. He then went to medical school at U.C. San Diego and did his Residency in Urology at Yale University. He then settled in Southern California with his wife and two kids. He spends much of his free time outdoors, skiing, hiking, and camping with his family and friends. An avid piano player, he is a fan of all types of music and arts. He loves providing outstanding and comprehensive urologic care to his patients. Daniel T. Oberlin, MD is a fellowship-trained Board Certified Urologist in the East Bay of San Francisco (Berkeley, Oakland). He treats all types of urological conditions in men and women with a focus on minimally invasive urologic oncology. Dr. Oberlin completed his undergraduate degree with honors from Dartmouth College. He went on to Case Western Reserve University for his medical degree where he was awarded research grants from the NIH to study kidney transplantation at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Oberlin completed his residency at Northwestern University and achieved accolades including winning manuscripts and presentations at national meetings as well as first place awards during research presentations. His research attracted national attention in prostate cancer care, kidney stone treatment, and practice patterns in urology.

Allison Sih, MD was born and raised in San Jose, CA, and graduated with honors from USC. She received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Sih completed a general surgery internship and Urology residency at Temple University Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. She then completed a fellowship in reconstructive urology and cancer survivorship with a focus on women’s health at City of Hope in southern California. Dr. Sih trained with internationally-recognized experts in robotic and minimally-invasive surgery. She has presented at national conferences and won first-place awards for her research.

Dr. Sih is happy to serve the Bay Area community as part of the team of medical experts at Golden Gate Urology. She is an enthusiastic supporter of the patient-centered approach to healthcare. Dr. Sih is well-versed in treating all adult urologic conditions, including enlarged prostate, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, female pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary tract infections. Board-certified urologist Shawn Todd, DO, PA, provides personalized, high-quality medical care at Texas Urological Clinic to address the urological health needs of men, women, and children in and around Lufkin, Texas.

Dr. Todd has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic diseases of the kidneys, bladder, prostate, and testicles. He also takes a special interest in hormone optimization and improving sexual function.

After earning his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Todd completed his residency in urological surgery at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

During his training, he fine-tuned his skills in both minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques to treat kidney stones, cancer, and other urological conditions.
