Dr. Lee attended the Doctor of Medicine Program, UMDNJ at New Jersey Medical School. He completed his internship in general surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital before going into the urology residency program at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Board-certified urologist Anthony Woodruff, MD, is passionate about providing timely, personal, and compassionate world-class urologic care. He brings his extensive experience to the team at Urologic Surgeons of Arizona, where he sees patients from the practice's offices in Mesa and Chandler, Arizona.
Dr. Woodruff was born and raised in Arkansas, where he attended Harding University and graduated Magna Cum Laud with a B.S. in Biology. He then attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, earning his Medical Doctorate. For his post-graduate training, he completed a surgical Internship at Louisiana State University and Oschner Medical Center.
After completing his Internship, Dr. Woodruff completed his urologic Residency at both Louisiana State University and Oschner Medical Center. A portion of his training occurred at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, as a result of necessary evacuation from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Upon completing his Residency, Dr. Woodruff completed a Robotic/Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology Fellowship at the prestigious Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. This Fellowship had a special focus on the treatment of all kinds of urologic malignancies, including prostate, bladder, kidney, penile, and testicular cancers utilizing the most up-to-date minimally invasive techniques available.
After finishing his Fellowship, Dr. Woodruff moved to Northwest Arkansas, where he practiced until 2012, serving as Director of Robotic Surgery at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas. Dr. Miyad Movassaghi is one of the newest additions to Associated Urologists of North Carolina, practicing out of the Wake Forest and Raleigh offices. Dr. Movassaghi has a particular interest in stone disease, robotic-assisted surgery for both benign urologic conditions and genitourinary cancers, minimally invasive surgery treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and prosthetic surgery for erectile dysfunction. Dr. Movassaghi completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University and went on to obtain a Master’s of Science in Immunology and Infectious Diseases from the University of Maine. Following his graduate studies, he completed medical school at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut and then went on to complete a Urologic Surgery Residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/New York Presbyterian in New York, one of the top ranked urology programs in the country by U.S. News and World Report. Dr. Jalkut was born and raised in New England and began his professional education at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. He graduated from Dartmouth summa cum laude and earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry; he was also nominated for Phi Beta Kappa.
Following graduation, Dr. Jalkut headed west and obtained his medical degree from Stanford University in Stanford, California. Dr. Jalkut subsequently completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in urology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Jalkut diagnoses and treats all types of urologic problems, but specializes in urologic cancer, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as female and reconstructive urology. William S. Kizer, MD, is a highly trained urologist at the Associated Urologists of North Carolina, practicing out of their Cary and Dunn offices. Dr. Kizer is board-certified in urology and specializes in treating conditions like prostatitis, prostate cancer, kidney stones, overactive bladder, and erectile dysfunction.
Dr. Kizer began his medical career at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology, graduating with honors. While he was at Baylor, he was an active member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honors Society. Dr. Kizer received his medical degree from the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long Medical School, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
He went on to serve in the U.S. Army, where he completed his postdoctoral training, beginning with a general surgery internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He rounded out his clinical training with a urology residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. During his residency, Dr. Kizer participated in a humanitarian surgical mission to Honduras.
In all, he served in the U.S. Army for more than a decade as an active duty urologist, completing his duty at the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he was the chief of urology. During his years of service, Dr. Kizer was also active with the Society of Government Service Urologists. Yousef Abu-Salha, MD, is one of the skilled urologists at Associated Urologists of North Carolina. He practices out of the offices in Dunn and Cary, North Carolina.
With Raleigh as his hometown and UNC as his alma mater, Dr. Abu-Salha is a true North Carolina native. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in biology and went on to graduate with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and Gold Humanism Honors Society (GHHS) distinctions from UNC School of Medicine. Dr. Tortora is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American College of Urological Surgeons, and a member of the American Board of Urology. When he isn’t busy helping his patients, Dr. Tortora enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with his wife, children, and labrador retrievers.
