Adam Ramin, MD, is board certified in urology, with sub-specialization in Urological Oncology and Robotic Surgery. Board-certified urologist Anthony Woodruff, MD, is passionate about providing timely, personal, and compassionate world-class urologic care. He brings his extensive experience to the team at Urologic Surgeons of Arizona, where he sees patients from the practice's offices in Mesa and Chandler, Arizona. 

Dr. Woodruff was born and raised in Arkansas, where he attended Harding University and graduated Magna Cum Laud with a B.S. in Biology. He then attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, earning his Medical Doctorate. For his post-graduate training, he completed a surgical Internship at Louisiana State University and Oschner Medical Center. 

After completing his Internship, Dr. Woodruff completed his urologic Residency at both Louisiana State University and Oschner Medical Center. A portion of his training occurred at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, as a result of necessary evacuation from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Upon completing his Residency, Dr. Woodruff completed a Robotic/Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology Fellowship at the prestigious Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. This Fellowship had a special focus on the treatment of all kinds of urologic malignancies, including prostate, bladder, kidney, penile, and testicular cancers utilizing the most up-to-date minimally invasive techniques available.

After finishing his Fellowship, Dr. Woodruff moved to Northwest Arkansas, where he practiced until 2012, serving as Director of Robotic Surgery at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas. After spending time working at the Boston City Hospital, he then pursued his doctorate in medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  While there he completed an additional post-graduate fellowship in Anatomic and Surgical Pathology. Dr. Baratta graduated Summa Cum Laude from Yale University, double majoring in Molecular Biology and French. The biggest reason I chose urology is that you go to medical school and do all of these rotations. The ones I kept enjoying the most and had the most fun seemed to be the urologists. There are very few specialties that allow you to follow patients throughout their entire life; kidney stones, for instance, is a life-long disease. So you establish relationships with these patients. You get a unique combination of patient relationships and continue to do surgical-related procedures. It makes it unique compared to a lot of other medical fields. I treat patients the same way I want to be treated. It goes a long way with the empathy you portray. Empathy is difficult for people to know how to express when you haven't gone through it yourself. That is a huge part of how we manage our practice.

About Advanced Urology

Kjell Youngren, MD, brings nearly 20 years of urology experience to Advanced Urology in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. In addition to general urology, he is skilled in treating chronic pelvic pain, overactive bladder, kidney stones, incontinence, and urologic cancers. He frequently performs painless, in-office, no-scalpel vasectomies.​

Dr. Youngren graduated Bowdoin College summa cum laude, with honors in chemistry, and a double major in French. He also trained at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Dr. Youngren interned in general surgery at the University of Southern California and completed his urology residency at UMDNJ-NJ Medical School, where he was the recipient of several awards for teaching and research.

Dr. Youngren is board certified by the American Board of Urology and an active member of the American Urological Association. He loves the challenges of community clinical practice and enjoys solving complex problems. His goal is to give relief, knowledge, and comfort to his patients and their families.

Brett Jepson, MD, is an experienced, board-certified urologist at CSUA: Union in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has over two decades of experience and specializes in endourology, kidney stone treatment and management, and laparoscopic and da Vinci® robotic surgery of malignant and benign prostate disease.

Dr. Jepson graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. He went on to complete medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. Dr. Jepson finished his medical training with an internship and urology residency at Saint Louis University Hospitals in St. Louis, Missouri, where he trained in minimally invasive cancer surgery and endourology.
