My philosophy is to diagnose the process causing the imbalance and correct it. With any health-related problem, there are four major areas of the body that need to be addressed: structure, emotions, biochemistry, and energy (the energetic systems, ie. acupuncture meridians and chakras).
I remind my patients frequently that "doctors don't heal the body; the body heals itself as long as there are no obstacles to healing. It is my job to break down these obstacles so that the body can mend itself unimpeded. The power that created us is the power that heals us." I am inspired daily as I consider the infinite possibilities in healthcare yet to be tapped into.
In addition to chiropractic manipulation, I use a technique called applied kinesiology (AK) that uses the muscle system to determine function. I witness amazing results using the frequencies of color, sound, cold lasers and more. Through the use of supplementation with homeopathy and nutritional's.

Hi, I'm Dr. Matthew Labertew. I'm a chiropractor with 25 years of experience in the field and graduated with an Honors from Logans Chiropractic College in 1998. I am passionate about helping my patients live their best life through pain relief and improved overall health. In my practice, I focus on providing individualized care for each patient to ensure they get the best possible results. My goal is to help people feel better, move better, and live better!
For 20 years, Dr. Aklinski has helped patients of all ages through a combination of customized and gentle chiropractic care, rehabilitative exercise, and clinical nutrition. She has practiced in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA.
Dr. Aklinski offers gentle manual and low-force chiropractic techniques while using similar methods as Dr. Maxwell, who had provided outstanding chiropractic care to patients for over 36 years prior to his retirement in 2013.
Specific styles of chiropractic that Dr. Aklinski offers include Diversified (manual) Adjusting, Drop Table Technique, Instrumented-Assisted Low Force Technique, SOT (pelvic blocking), and prenatal chiropractic care.
My goal is to develop a thorough approach for your health care needs. I use a wide variety of techniques and treatments to address your concerns beyond the standard chiropractic adjustment. During an appointment, you can expect muscular therapy, nerve release, exercise rehabilitation, and joint mobilization to address the issues and complications as a whole, and not just a skeletal approach as typically with traditional chiropractic care. With this, an appointment will last roughly 20 minutes compared to the typical 5-10 minutes as seen in the industry. My patients value this in-depth approach as it gets patients better, faster, saving them time and money.
Welcome to Lovington Chiropractic, Dr. Helen Pearson is committed to providing personalized care to help you achieve optimal spinal health and pain relief. We offer a range of treatments tailored to meet your unique needs.
