Vindhya Veerula, MD, started her Fort Wayne, Indiana-based aesthetics practice Integrative Dermatology & Laser Spa because of her passion for integrative health and wellness. Known to her patients as Dr. V, she is an energetic, proactive, and compassionate medical practitioner who focuses on the overall mind-body-spiritual connection to help her patients in Fort Wayne, Indiana, achieve their goals.
Dr. Veerula spent most of her childhood and adolescence in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She attended Canterbury High School and left for Ohio to pursue an accelerated BS/MD course through the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in Rootstown. After graduating from NEOMED in 2012, she returned to Indiana to complete her internal medicine residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Veerula completed her dermatology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2016, and joined Fort Wayne Dermatology Consultants, Inc., a private dermatology practice, until November 2017.
At her practice Integrative Dermatology & Laser Spa, Dr. Veerula focuses on improving skin care by utilizing evidence-based Western approaches she learned during her residency in conjunction with a variety of mind-body centered Eastern medicine techniques, such as lifestyle changes, yoga, and meditation to promote proactive healing. She also draws upon functional medicine, detoxification, and integrative medicine techniques she learned through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the Academy of Advancement in Medicine, and the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.
Dr. Veerula is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. She is also a member of the Indiana Academy of Dermatology and the IFM.
When she’s not at the office, Dr. Veerula stays grounded and energized through her own wellness routine, which includes daily smoothies, yoga, physical activity, and meditation. She also enjoys hiking with her Australian Shepherd mix Iso, traveling, and relaxing with friends and family.
