As a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Neil Houston is committed to providing thoughtful, top-level dermatological care to patients in the greater Boston area. Dr. Houston offers a broad range of medical, surgical, and cosmetic services at Integrated Dermatology of Brookline, with offices in Brookline and Andover, Massachusetts.

A Massachusetts native, Dr. Houston received his undergraduate education at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. He graduated medical school from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he was a member of the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honor Society. He then completed dermatology residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he served as a chief resident in his final year.

Dr. Houston is committed to establishing relationships with his patients that are based upon listening and open communication, with a focus on improving quality of life. He is interested in all aspects of dermatology with special interest in skin cancer detection and treatment, eczema, acne, contact allergies and hair loss. Miaoyuan Wang, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist who’s dedicated to providing thorough, personalized skin care to every patient she treats. Her innovative and respected practice, Integrated Dermatology of Brookline, has two office locations in Brookline and Andover, Massachusetts. 

Dr. Wang specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing all types of skin conditions, ranging from chronic acne and inflammatory psoriasis to melanoma and other forms of skin cancer. 

She performs a wide variety of surgical procedures, too, including routine in-office excisions of benign lesions and malignant skin tumors. She’s also an expert in Mohs micrographic surgery, a sophisticated and painstaking technique designed to eradicate skin cancer as thoroughly and efficiently as possible.

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Florida with an undergraduate degree in fine arts, Dr. Wang earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. 

Upon graduation, she completed an internship in internal medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. She then completed her residency training in dermatology, followed by her fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology, at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, where she served as chief resident and fellow.

Dr. Wang was raised in China and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, painting, watching movies, and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Mark Amster, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Integrated Dermatology of Newton-Brighton. He brings over three decades of experience and provides a full range of dermatology services for patients of all ages at the practice’s locations in Mashpee, Needham, and Brighton, Massachusetts. He specializes in minor surgery, including skin cancer intermediate repair with minor incisions.

Dr. Amster completed his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York. He graduated with his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in Brooklyn. He completed a dermatology residency at Kaleida Health/Buffalo General Hospital and at the Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Amster is a member of the Massachusetts Board of Dermatology. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Mt. Auburn Hospital.

Arjun Bashyam, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatopathologist who cares for patients at Integrated Dermatology of Worcester and Integrated Dermatology of Brookline in Massachusetts. His work spans both clinical dermatology and dermatopathology: he evaluates and treats patients in the clinic and interprets skin biopsies in the laboratory. This dual perspective allows him to integrate what he sees in the exam room with what he sees on the slide, informing both diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Bashyam provides comprehensive medical and surgical dermatology care, with particular interests in skin cancer, moles and other melanocytic lesions, psoriasis, eczema, and contact dermatitis.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and worked at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before attending Drexel University College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. During medical school, he completed a dermatology research fellowship at Wake Forest School of Medicine. He then completed an internal medicine internship at Lankenau Medical Center in Philadelphia before training in Dallas, where he completed his dermatology residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and his dermatopathology fellowship at ProPath reference laboratory.

Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, skiing, racquet sports, and exploring new restaurants.
