Dr. Nguyen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. As a board certified dermatologist, I specialize in medical and cosmetic dermatology with an emphasis on patient advocacy and education. You may have seen me on ABC Eyewitness News in the greater Los Angeles area as I have been a frequent contributor in stories concerning the care of skin, hair, and nails.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Southern California, I received my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, graduating cum laude with a major in philosophy. I earned my medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School with highest honors, then completed a residency in dermatology at Cook County Hospital in downtown Chicago, serving as chief resident during my final year.
I have been on the teaching faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles, serving as the Director of Dermatology Resident Education at OliveView-UCLA Hospital, while maintaining private practices in Glendale and Arcadia, California.
Phillip H. A. Lee, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Born in Glendale, CA and raised in Pasadena, CA, Dr. Lee considers this area home. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, graduating summa cum laude in biology. He earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He received a laboratory research fellowship at the VA Medical Center in La Jolla, CA after which he went on to complete dermatology residency at the UC San Diego Medical Center. He served as chief resident during his final year of residency.Dr. Lee is part of the volunteer faculty of University of Southern California, Department of Dermatology. For his teaching, the dermatology residents awarded him the Outstanding Teaching Award in Medical Dermatology.
Dr. Lee truly enjoys the practice of dermatology and considers it an honor to participate in the patient-doctor relationship.
