Dr. Dennis Nguyen is a Southern California native, proud to be serving our community as a double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgeon. Dr. Nguyen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Following college, Dr. Nguyen continued his work in the UCSF Melanoma Sentinel Lymph Node Program and research of autologous melanoma vaccines. He graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine as a prestigious Regents Scholar in 2004. From there, Dr. Nguyen completed his internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, his dermatology residency at University Hospitals/Case Western in Cleveland, and his ACMS Mohs Surgery and Procedural Dermatology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York. Since 2009, Dr. Nguyen has honed his skills in the treatment of skin cancers and cutaneous oncology. He has performed over 20,000 cases of Mohs micrographic surgery.

He received his medical degree from University of California Irvine School of Medicine, where received the highest awards and honors for his significant contributions to both basic science and medical research contributions. Dr Abrouk then completed his dermatology residency training at his top choice and one of the nation's  pre-eminent dermatology institutions, The University of Miami Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, where he served as Cosmetic Chief Resident. Following completion of his residency, Dr. Abrouk was hand selected to complete specialized fellowship training in Lasers and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery at the Wellman Institute at Harvard Medical School and Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. This fellowship is widely considered to be the most prestigious laser and cosmetic fellowship in the world,  and the location where most lasers in medicine and surgery were invented and techniques pioneered.

He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Board of Dermatology, and the American Society of Mohs Surgery (Practicing Mohs surgery since 2000), and a member of the California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. He currently serves as a clinical instructor of dermatology at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he trains internal medicine residents doing electives in Dermatology.
