Ali Hendi, MD, is a widely recognized skin cancer specialist who has been caring for patients in the Washington, DC area for over a decade. A double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Hendi opened a state-of-the-art surgical facility, dedicated to the treatment of skin cancers, in Chevy Chase, Maryland in 2008. Since then, he has performed over 14,000 Mohs surgeries and reconstructions. He is active in the medical community as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Georgetown University Medical Center. He is involved in resident education at the Washington Hospital Center Dermatology Residency Program.

Dr. Alison Ehrlich, a board-certified dermatologist, is the former founding Chair and Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Dermatology at George Washington University.  After many years in academic medicine, she has established her private practice in the Washington D.C. area but continues to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic contact dermatitis, psoriasis, and other forms of chronic dermatitis.  Her approach is personalized to accommodate the unique needs of patients with complex medical conditions and varied schedules.

Following her residency in Dermatology, she completed a fellowship in Clinical Research and Master's in Clinical Research through a combined NIH/Duke program. She has overseen dermatology at the combined dermatology/rheumatology clinics while at GW. Maren Shaw MD, FAAD is the Medical Director of Charles County Dermatology Associates.    Dr. Shaw completed her undergraduate studies at Spelman College.  She graduated from medical school at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine in Chapel Hill.  She completed her internship in pediatrics at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutger's University).  She completed her dermatology residency at UNC Hospitals Department of Dermatology.  She studied Mohs surgery and performed hundreds of Mohs cases while working at the Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic in Chattanooga, TN under the guidance of Dr. Samuel Banks.

Juan-Carlos (J.C.) Caballero, MD, is board certified in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He leads the team at Warrenton Dermatology & Skin Therapy Center in Warrenton, Virginia.

Michael A. Dr. Stranahan obtained his undergraduate degree in psychology with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, where he graduated with honors. Dr. Stranahan is a native of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, growing up in Easton and graduating from Easton High School. After completing his residency training, Dr. Stranahan returned home to the Eastern Shore with his wife, Brigitte, also from Easton, and their two children. They’re thrilled to call Easton home once again, where they can be closer to family and friends. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Stranahan enjoys the outdoors, fishing, boating, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Kirra L. Brandon, MD is board certified in both dermatology and pediatric dermatology, and provides care to patients of all ages at Easton Dermatology Associates, a leading dermatology practice in Easton, Maryland, that serves residents on the Delmarva Peninsula. Although Dr. Brandon offers medical skin care services to patients of any age, she specializes in pediatric dermatology. Her specific interests include vascular birthmarks, genetic skin disorders, and pediatric skin and laser surgery.

Dr. Brandon obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from Harvard University, where she graduated with honors. As a native of Annapolis, Maryland, Dr. Brandon was excited to return to the area with her husband, Gus, an ophthalmologist and fellow Maryland native, and their two young daughters. In her spare time, Dr. Brandon enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time with her family.

Caroline E. Yeager, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Shady Grove Dermatology in Rockville, Maryland.

Dr. Caroline Yeager was born at the Naval Hospital and raised in Bethesda, Maryland. She spent grades three to twelve at the Holton-Arms School, where she graduated as the ranking scholar (valedictorian) and as a National Merit Scholar. 

She then attended Princeton University in New Jersey, where she graduated summa cum laude and majored in classics with a certificate in medieval studies. At Princeton University, she received the Shapiro Prize for Academic Excellence and the Classics Department’s Atkins Prize for best senior thesis. Dr. Caroline Yeager is a member of Princeton University’s Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Dr. Caroline Yeager attended Duke Medical School in Durham, North Carolina. She was the recipient of a Howard Hughes Medical Institute NIH Research Scholarship, which brought her back to Bethesda to do research at the National Human Genome Research Institute at NIH. She continued to research chemotherapy-induced hair loss when she returned to Duke. 

She received her medical degree in 2011. While there, Dr. Caroline Yeager was awarded membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honorary society for her outstanding scholarship as well as leadership. In addition, Duke University Hospital awarded her the “Strength, Hope and Caring” Award for her dedication to compassionate patient care; it had never before been awarded to a medical student instead of a resident doctor or nurse.

Dr. Caroline Yeager came back to the Washington, D.C., area to do her internship at the George Washington University Hospital, where she received the Internal Medicine Preliminary Intern of the Year award and the George Washington University Hospital Service Excellence Pillar Award.

Dr. Caroline Yeager completed her training at Emory Medical School in Atlanta, Georgia, for her dermatology residency, from which she graduated in June 2015. During her third year of residency, she served as the Curriculum Chief Resident for Emory University Dermatology Residency.

Sanders H. Berk, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist who has been practicing dermatology for 40 years. He currently works at Shady Grove Dermatology in Rockville, Maryland. 

Dr. Berk received his medical degree from the University of Maryland in College Park with honors. He completed his internship and dermatology training at the University of Miami in Florida under Dr. Harvey Blank.

Josef Yeager, MD, FAAD, is an experienced board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Shady Grove Dermatology in Rockville, Maryland. Dr. Yeager has been practicing in Maryland since 1990. 

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his internship at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in South Carolina.

Dr. Yeager served in the United States Navy, where he trained as an aviation medical officer. Later, he completed his residency in dermatology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and became a member of the teaching staff there. 

Besides treating patients, he contributed to resident education and published over 50 articles on research studies and case reports. He was the principal investigator on two research projects that the National Institutes of Health sponsored; he taught as an associate professor of dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, and he was an assistant professor of clinical dermatology at Georgetown University. 

Dr. Yeager also enjoyed serving as a dermatology consultant to the United States Congress. In addition, he was a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. 

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and a member of the International Society of Dermatology, the Washington D.C. Dr. Olowoyeye earned her bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Cell, and Developmental biology from the Ivy League Dartmouth College and later went on to earn a Master’s in Public Health degree.
