Before coming to the US, she finished medical school at Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India where she graduated in the Top 10% of her class. She completed her internship at the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Spokane, Washington (an affiliate of the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, WA) and then her Residency at SUNY-Buffalo Internal Medicine Residency Program in Buffalo, NY. Her Fellowship Training in Oncology was at the nationally - acclaimed Wilmot Cancer Institute in Rochester, NY. This experienced was followed with a Faculty Position at Roswell Park Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY before moving to the Dallas area with her family. She has also co-authored various book chapters in medical textbooks which are used in teaching programs across the country.
