Dr. Ricardo La Grotta, MD is a primary care physician. He serves patients at HealthyU Clinics at our Chandler, Arizona clinic.

Dr. Gardner Tarlow is a board certified family physician, who has provided advanced health care and prevention to patients in his native Orange County, California for over a decade. Located in Anaheim, Dr. Tarlow offers a wide range of services to patients of every age, from adolescents to seniors.

In addition to routine physicals and wellness exams for children, men, women, seniors, and athletes, Dr Tarlow is an avid athlete and an expert in sports medicine. In the past, Dr. Tarlow has served as team physician and sports consultant for the Savanna High School Football team in Anaheim. Dr. Tarlow has also served as a sports consultant and periodic columnist for Dirt Rider Magazine. In treating elite athletes and weekend warriors alike, Dr. Tarlow offers traditional and advanced alternative care treatment options. Dr. Tarlow has extensive knowledge and medical resources to help optimize each patient's recovery from injury, be it age-related or sports trauma.

Dr. Tarlow grew up in Orange County, earned his undergraduate degree in business from Chapman University and worked in Orange County as a financial consultant before returning to school to earn his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, New York. Following medical school, Dr. Tarlow completed an internship and residency in family medicine at Sparrow Hospital/Michigan State University. He has been in private practice in Orange County since 2000 after joining his father and General Surgeon, Herbet Tarlow, MD. Tarlow Medical has been in the same Anaheim location since 1966 and remains committed to serving Anaheim residents and surrounding cities.

Dr. Tarlow’s affiliations include St. Jude Medical Center, American Board of Family Medicine, American Academy of Family Practice, American College of Sports Medicine and  American College of Sclerotherapeutic Pain Management.

When not treating patients, Dr. Tarlow enjoys motocross, surfing, skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife and children.

Joao Ferraz, MD, is a fellowship-trained Critical Care Medicine specialist at Long Beach Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he received extensive training in the management of critically ill patients, including advanced mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, and cardiovascular critical care.

Prior to fellowship, Dr. Ferraz practiced as a hospitalist at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his Internal Medicine residency in Chicago and earned his medical degree from the University of São Paulo in Brazil.

Dr. Ferraz has particular interests in mechanical ventilation, respiratory failure, hemodynamics, cardiovascular critical care, and the care of patients with complex multisystem illnesses. His training also includes extensive experience with advanced mechanical circulatory support, including ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and other temporary mechanical support systems.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ferraz is involved in medical education, clinical research, and quality improvement. He has published several peer-reviewed studies focused on the management of critically ill patients with respiratory failure and continues to pursue research aimed at improving evidence-based care and outcomes in the intensive care unit.

Originally from Brazil, Dr. Ferraz is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. Outside of medicine, he enjoys tennis, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Alisa Farokhian, MD, specializes in internal medicine and is completing her fellowship in Advanced IBD GI.

Dr. Alisa Farokhian prides herself in her dedication to providing patients with exceptional care, respect, and support. She is completing her advanced IBD program at the prestigious Columbia University Hospital, while additionally working on her GI fellowship.  

Additionally, Dr. Alisa Farokhian has received countless awards and recognition for her participation in research and publications. She continues her education by attending and speaking at numerous top GI conferences to learn the most technological advances in medicine.

Lauren Kent Davis, DO, is a board-certified family practice physician at South Coast Family Medical Center Inc. Dr. Kent Davis is passionate about providing accessible primary care to the community. She grew up in Laguna Niguel, California, where her father, Michael Kent, MD, founded South Coast Family Medical Center in 1990.

Dr. Kent Davis grew up playing soccer for the SC Blues Soccer Club and attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Dr. Kent Davis followed in her father’s footsteps, choosing medicine as her profession. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and pre-med from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. While studying at Notre Dame, Dr. Kent Davis continued playing soccer and was on the university’s varsity team.

Dr. Kent Davis went to medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. While in medical school, she met her husband, Chris Davis, DO. After graduation, she completed a three-year residency in family medicine at St. Anthony North Family Medicine Residency in Denver, part of Centura Health®.

In 2013, Dr. Kent Davis moved back to California and joined South Coast Family Medical Center. Dr. Kent Davis and her husband have three children: Maddison, Charlotte, and Jackson. In their spare time, they love spending time outdoors with their family.
