Starting as an EMT, her desire for a better understanding of the human body and its conditions as well as a desire to help those in need, have brought her to where she is today. Initially completing a degree in Emergency Medical Services in Florida, JoAnn then moved to Kentucky where she completed her bachelor's and then master's degree from Spalding University. Much of her nursing career has been spent working in intensive care units caring for critically ill or injured. For several years, she also worked as adjunct faculty for Bellarmine University as well as University of Louisville School of Nursing. Outside of work, JoAnn enjoys spending time with her family as well as her 4-legged kids (Dogs).
