Dr. Afshin Akhavan is one of Los Angeles’ leading physicians specializing in Family Medicine. He directs two clinics in Downtown Los Angeles that provide outstanding medical services to all men, women and children.
Dr. Akhavan began his pursuit of medicine as an undergraduate at UCLA where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree. After receiving two degrees from UCLA, he attended Western University of Health Sciences, where he received his Osteopathic medical degree. Dr. Akhavan fulfilled his residency in Family Medicine at USC Keck School of Medicine, where he served as a chief resident and continues to contribute as a faculty member ever since. He is currently on staff at two local hospitals, California Hospital Medical Center where he also served as the chairman of family medicine department and Good Samaritan Hospital. He practices traditional family medicine and knows it to be his passion and his true professional calling.
