Colleen has been practicing Family Medicine in Colorado since 2012. Anjmun Sharma, MD, is a highly experienced physician at Venus Medi Spa in Colorado Springs, Colorado, bringing over 20 years of specialized patient care to the practice. Sarah Sato, NP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner and one of the co-founders of The Alpine Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism, PC located in Superior, Colorado. Sarah completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communications at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. She went on to earn both her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Nursing at Columbia University in New York City, where she was part of the Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society. She also offers comprehensive Primary Health care to early adolescents, teens, and adults.

Kara Bresson, PA-C, focuses on providing high-quality care that is tailored to meet the needs of each individual patient. She is passionate about women’s urinary health and specializes in treating and managing overactive bladder, incontinence, and recurrent infections. Kara is originally from South Dakota, where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Sioux Falls. Before pursuing graduate education, she gained valuable experience working in a biotechnology research laboratory—specializing in DNA sequencing—as well as in a podiatry practice as a medical assistant. She then went on to complete her Master of Medical Science degree at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.

Leslie has a clinical interest in general urology and provides care for a wide range of conditions, including urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, kidney stones (urolithiasis), prostate health, and post-operative management. David R Zimmermann, is Colorado Recovery Solutions Chief Operating Officer (COO). He leads the Operations Team at Colorado Recovery Solutions in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to assist patients improve their mental health, provide alternatives to treatment resistant conditions, and give patients a different and more holistic pathway to life-changing treatments.

David graduated from the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He also has two Associates Degrees in General Studies from Pikes Peak State College and in Applied Science for Allied Health / Practical Nursing from the Community College of the Air Force.  He is also a Veteran that served as an active-duty Air Force Medic in several different assignments. His specialties were Family Health as an Aerospace Medical Technician and Flight Medicine as a Flight and Operational Medical Technician. He worked closely in face-to-face patient care, clinical operations, headquarters medical management working groups and as a proficient first-responder out-in-the-field. He has also worked as an Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Fighter, Security and Parking Operations for different companies. His next goal is to get his Masters in Nursing with a specialty focus in Psychiatry.

His love for family, friends, nature, faith, science and his subjective life experiences have also inspired him to pursue a career in Advanced Clinical Psychiatry. J. Abram McBride, MD, is a board-certified urologist and men’s health specialist with fellowship training in microsurgery, male reproductive medicine, and infertility. He currently provides comprehensive men’s care at his private practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. McBride is a proud native of Virginia who served in the Virginia Army National Guard, including overseas for Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.

Between his army tours, Dr. McBride graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and then received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in Norfolk. During his time at EVMS, he was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies.

Soquel (pronounced “So-Kell”) Schafer, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant practicing at Colorado Springs Urological Associates, PLLC, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Originally from Northern California, Soquel graduated from the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, California, where she received her undergraduate degree. She then attended Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California, where she received her master’s degree in medical science in the physician associate program.

While she finds all areas of urology interesting, she gives special emphasis to female-related urinary complaints, BPH, urinary stone care, and hormonal replacement therapy management. Soquel knows a patient’s time is precious, and she works hard to promote a supportive and positive patient/provider interaction by listening to concerns in their entirety.

Before becoming a physician assistant, Soquel worked as a physical therapy aid, caring for elders with memory loss, and as a behavioral instructor for children with Autism.

When Soquel isn’t working, she loves to backpack, bake (and more importantly, eat) bread, take overland trips in an old Toyota with her family, and has just started to dip her toe into mountain biking (yikes!). She has lived for several years in South America and is fluent in Spanish.

She then went on to receive her Master of Health Sciences and Physician Assistant degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina.

Dominique began working in urology soon after graduation and thoroughly enjoys this field of medicine. Prior to joining CSUA: Union, she worked in a urology practice in the Greater Denver Area. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Urological Association, the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, and the Rocky Mountain Urological Society.
