Hanifa Waarith, NP, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner at Centers for Pain Control and Vein Care in Hobart and LaPorte, Indiana. Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Hanifa brings a wealth of experience in family medicine, pain management, mental health, community health, and urgent care to the practice.
With a Master of Science in Nursing from Lewis University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University of Calumet, Hanifa has a strong educational foundation. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Chicago State University. Her comprehensive training includes a fellowship program at WellNow Urgent Care, where she specialized in acute care with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.
At WellNow Urgent Care, Hanifa managed the daily care of patients, addressing both adult and pediatric acute illnesses and injuries. Her proficiency extends to performing physical exams, ordering and evaluating lab tests, managing medications, and conducting procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage (I&D), and vaginal exams. She also performed Department of Transportation exams for CDL employee physicals and workers' compensation exams.
Hanifa has extensive experience managing a multitude of chronic illnesses, including cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, diabetes, thyroid, asthma, chronic pain, and behavioral health issues like depression and anxiety. She is skilled in providing comprehensive care and educating patients and families on managing acute and chronic conditions. Hanifa holds American Heart Association certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and basic Life Support, is NIHSS certified, and is a certified medical examiner.
