Dr. Nangalama completed a three-year residency in family medicine at Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, which is affiliated with UC Davis.
As a student, Dr. Nangalama’s exceptional scholarship was recognized with several academic distinctions, and he was later awarded a prestigious $250,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health to study breast cancer and hormones. Throughout his medical career, he has attained professional distinctions. He is a diplomat of the American College of Physicians, a fellow of American Academy of Family Practice, and maintains board certification in family practice medicine.
Before opening American River Urgent Care, Dr. Nangalama served as medical director of multiple skilled nursing facilities.
