As a therapist, I believe that I help people help themselves. I believe the answers are within an individual, couple or family, and my job is to ask questions that will help people hear those answers. Individuals are the experts of themselves and parents are the experts of their families. Therapy is a journey of discovery and healing. People have an amazing ability to heal, learn and grow. I believed that when I began doing therapy 27 years ago and I have that same strong belief today.

In 2016, I completed a 20 year Full-Time career in the U.S. Army where I have many of my own experiences concerning trauma, family hardships, deployments, separation, reintegration, and a global-cultural view of over 20 countries. Healing happens in the context of a therapeutic relationship between the patient and the therapist. This connection provides the foundation for attending to the problems and entails a dyadic commitment. Part of this process entails unraveling and integrating the unconscious with the conscious as well as reuniting the body and the mind.
