Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 1956, Dr. Donnelly was raised in Utah and Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, graduating summa cum laude and with the Dean's Award for highest undergraduate achievement in the College of Arts and Sciences in 1978. Dr. Donnelly earned his medical degree in 1982 from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville in 1986. Afterward, he moved to Atlanta and has been a partner in the same private practice group of physicians ever since.
Dr. Donnelly's practice is currently focused on family-centered and high-risk obstetrics, well-woman care, and menopause management. He is board-certified and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. His practice enjoys a reputation for welcoming a wide diversity of women in the community, and he highly values the relationships he has forged over his years in the profession. Dr. Donnelly is married to Elizabeth Woods Donnelly, who has an independent educational consulting practice in Sandy Springs. Their two young adult children grew up in Atlanta and were both born at Northside Hospital. Together, the family enjoys traveling, especially to the great Northwest. Outside of medicine, Dr. Donnelly has interests in music, particularly opera, and literature. He has been a mentor for both youth and adult formation through Holy Innocents Episcopal Church for two decades.
Dr. Rebecca Ashford earned her medical degree and completed her postgraduate medical training at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Ashford specializes in women’s health, with a special interest in hormonal problems that women face in their 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s.

She answered the initial call to nursing at a vocational high school in Maryland where she graduated as a Certified Nursing Assistant. As the youngest of five children, she was the first member of her family to attend and successfully graduate from college with an Associates in Nursing. She immediately secured licensure as a Registered Nurse. Lori relocated to Georgia and as a double Panther received her bachelor’s and master’s at Georgia State University and remains in the School of Nursing as the women’s health course instructor.
With over three decades of women’s health experience, her love and compassion for nursing continues to be based on one concept, 'caring'. As a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner attentive on ensuring quality of life, her nursing practice is based on wellness and optimal health maintenance.
She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree at Georgia College and State University with a focus on menopausal awareness. During her spare time, Lori loves spending time with her husband, twins, and family pet. She believes family and friends are everything!
