Dr. Jocelyn Slaughter, MD is a board certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist who founded The Healthy Woman -a multi-specialty women's healthcare practice- in 2016. Dr. Slaughter started the practice with a focus on providing safe, comfortable and innovative healthcare for women, while promoting entrepreneurship for Physicians.
There are currently 3 offices in Gwinnett County, GA, with the official franchise and expansion starting in the summer of 2023. Originally from Chicago, Dr. Slaughter received her baccalaureate in 2004 from Howard University, and her doctorate of Medicine from the University of Chicago Pritzker School in Medicine in 2008.
She then ventured to Atlanta, GA to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Grady Memorial Hospital under the Morehouse School of Medicine (c/o 2012). She is a mother of three daughters, ages 9, 5 and 1, and will be celebrating 10 years of marriage with her husband Benjamin Moore this summer.

Dr. E as I often called her has been a God sent throughout my entire pregnancy. She created an atmosphere my husband and I felt empowered to voice our concerns, ask questions, and actively engage in discussions about my health and that of my baby. For this we want to thank you so much from the bottom of hearts for taking such good care of us during/after the pregnancy as well as the delivery!! Because of your professionalism and great smiles, we felt like we were in good hands and that gave us peace of mind towards the big day.

Dr. Edokpayi known as Dr. E is an excellent doctor. She is compassionate and always listens to my concerns. She provides excellent care. Recently I had an urgent need and was able to get in to see the doctor on the next business day. I really appreciated that. I will continue to receive my care at the Healthy Women.

Dr. Slaughter really took the time to sit down and LISTEN to what I had To say. Then she listed all my options and what she recommended but in such a way where I did Not feel like she was pushing unnecessary treatments on me! I was Very impressed with the whole office staff. Everyone was so nice and the facility was very clean and inviting. It doesn’t even feel like a doctor office!
The whole staff was so pleasant from beginning to end. Special kudos to the office manager she was very informative re: my ins. Jill was awesome and put my mind at ease. I will go no where else.
My first visit today was very pleasant. Absolutely wonderful, caring staff. Met with the midwife, Jill who is AMAZING. Highly recommend.
