Sherry Neyman, MD, MS, FACOG just started her 23rd year in practice in Austin, Texas. Recognized as a leading gynecologist, in central Texas. Dr. Seeker is a native of Odessa Texas and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock earning a degree in chemistry in 1980. He obtained his doctor of medicine from The University of Texas Health & Science Center in San Antonio in 1984 where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical society. Dr. Seeker did his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor, where he was chief resident, and at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
He has been with Austin Area Obstetrics, Gynecology & Fertility since 1988. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Association and American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Seeker is one of the most popular and recognized Central Texas physicians. Many local organizations and periodicals (Texas Monthly, Austin American Statesman, etc) have singled him out as an outstanding physician. He attributes his success to his faith in God and his steadfast dedication to women’s health. He regards the role of family as sacred.
He is assisted in his office by his three certified nurse practitioners: Kelly Reagan, Casey Friesenhahn, and Jaki Lockwood. They complement Dr. Seeker’s practice by providing obstetric, gynecologic, and fertility visits.

Meena Aserlind, MD, is an experienced OB/GYN serving patients at Austin Area Ob-Gyn & Fertility in Texas. At the practice, Dr. Aserlind emphasizes building relationships with her patients and empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their care.
Dr. Aserlind grew up in South Carolina and received her Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Clemson University in South Carolina. She then earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston.
After graduating from MUSC, she completed a four-year OB/GYN residency at the University of Miami in Florida, where she won the Helen Lansman Award, given to the resident showing the greatest compassion towards patients. After residency, she practiced in the Salt Lake City area for five years before relocating to Texas.
Dr. Aserlind enjoys caring for women at every point of their lives, from adolescence to post-menopausal care. She’s also passionate about infertility care, as she struggled with fertility herself and knows how life-altering a condition it can be.
Dr. Aserlind visited Austin, Texas, with her husband seven years ago for vacation and decided it was her dream city. When the opportunity presented for her to move, she and her husband jumped. They are now joined by their first child, a son born in May 2023.
Outside of work, Dr. Aserlind enjoys all outdoor activities, including skiing, hiking, and water sports. She and her husband are avid travelers and enjoy learning about new places and cultures.

Dr. Allison Anderson is passionate about helping women throughout all stages of their lives, including adolescence, contraceptive health, fertility, pregnancy, and the menopausal transition. Her expertise and warm bedside manner help her patients feel comfortable and confident in their health, from routine annual visits to complex treatment plans, and everything in between. Voted one of the top three best OB/Gyn doctors in Austin by Austin Fit Magazine, Dr. Anderson attends to each of her patients with a level of care unmatched by many in her field. Her vast wealth of knowledge and experience in obstetrics allow her to care for high-risk, complicated pregnancies and routine pregnancies alike. Her approach to fertility is to make an individualized plan of care for each patient, and she loves the continuity in taking care of the same patient throughout the fertility and pregnancy journey. Dr. Anderson is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas, where she received her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Plan II Liberal Arts and Spanish with a concentration in premedical studies, graduating with High Honors. She moved to Dallas to attend medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, where she was honored with the Excellence in Medical Student Teaching award in 2005, 2007, and 2008. She then practiced as an Assistant Professor of OB/Gyn in the UT Southwestern – St. Paul OB/MFM private practice. After three years, she returned to her true home, Austin, with her husband Matt and joined Austin Area OB/Gyn.
Seven years later, Dr. Anderson and her husband are rooted as permanent Austinites and love exploring the city with their two dogs, a black Labrador and a miniature red dachshund. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, live music, spending time with friends and family, and the occasional wiener dog race.
Dr. Anderson is extremely personable, outgoing, and is fluent in Spanish. Her focus is on her patients as individuals, while providing an unparalleled level of patient care.
Dr. Kathryn M. Landherr is a gifted obstetrician, serving women from in and around Austin, Texas, at Austin Area OB/GYN and Fertility. She helps women throughout their pregnancies, maintaining the health of both the mother and child.
Dr. Landherr grew up in Central Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree in journalism and pre-med. She began medical school at UTMB, went on to graduate from Texas A&M Health Science Center, then on to the University of Oklahoma for her residency program.
Once Dr. Landherr’s residency program was complete she was off to Tucson as an attending physician teaching residents at OU. While at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, she was honored as Section Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2008 – 2010. She also completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine with Andrew Weil, M.D. at the University of Arizona where she learned how to help women achieve optimal health throughout every cycle of life.
After spending 12 years in Tucson, an amazing opportunity became available to come back “home” to the Austin area, where most of her family resides, and to join the award-winning team of physicians at Austin Area OB/GYN and Fertility.
Dr. Landherr is thrilled to have the opportunity to raise her four children amongst family in the beautiful hill country that she has always called home. She is looking forward to basketball and baseball with the kids, and perhaps a little golf, hiking, and watersports during the little free time she has.

Julia Gutierrez, MD, is an OB/GYN in Austin, Texas, who enjoys building meaningful and lifelong relationships with her patients at Austin Area Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Fertility.
Dr. Gutierrez is a native to Austin who is happy to serve the wonderful community. She completed her liberal medical education degree at Brown University, the only Ivy League school offering a dual program for undergraduate education and medical studies. She then went on to receive her doctorate in medicine at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
After graduating, she joined a residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. During her time there, she was honored with the “Outstanding Senior Resident Award” and “Academic Excellence Award” for the highest average CREOG Score (annual in-training exam for residents).
At Austin Area Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Fertility, Dr. Gutierrez provides gynecology services from adolescence through adulthood and beyond. She believes that gynecology and obstetrics is not only a profession, but an honor to connect with patients and help them with their unique health needs. Dr. Esfandiari received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry and Spanish from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and was awarded a full academic scholarship. She spent two summers studying at Oxford University in England and received her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where she was awarded the Martin Luther King Service Award for chairing a community health fair. She completed her residency training at Parkland Hospital where she was elected by her peers and faculty to serve as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr Esfandiari has a passion for service and has traveled to Mexico and Nicaragua to provide care for rural, underprivileged areas.
Dr. Esfandiari believes in taking the time to listen to her patients, addressing all concerns. She believes that communication is the key to building lifelong relationships with her patients, emphasizing care and compassion. She has recently "been on the other side" going through IVF and pregnancy herself and has a whole new perspective and empathy.
After several years of private practice experience in Dallas, she relocated to Austin to raise her family. In her free time she enjoys conversational Spanish, travel and looks forward to exploring the outdoors in Austin with husband, son, daughter and dog.
Dr. Mark Akin began his private OB/GYN practice in 1983 working with Dr. Harold Brumley and Dr. Vernon Elledge, two of Austin’s most respected obstetrician/gynecologists. Dr. Akin quickly absorbed these physicians’ time-honored philosophy of quality care and respect for their patients. He has subsequently nurtured this group’s growth with newer talented physicians, and is now the current President of a group of 11 physicians, known as Austin Area Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility.
A native of Wichita Falls, Texas, he attended the University of Texas in Austin on a 4-year football scholarship with Coach Darrell Royal, and received his undergraduate and Master’s degrees with highest honors in Environmental Health Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, respectively. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine in Dallas in the top ten percent of his class (Alpha Omega Alpha). He completed his 4-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas in 1983, and he was given the award of Outstanding Resident by the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1985.
Dr. Akin has been a true physician leader in the field of Obstetrics and gynecology for over 35 years. While Chief of the OB GYN section at Seton Medical Center, he helped lead a Perinatal Safety Group that reduced preventable birth injuries to zero, and was ultimately awarded in 2007 the National Codman Award. He was one of the first physicians in Texas performing ExAblate, a non-invasive treatment for uterine fibroids with MRgFUS, and has continued innovative medical and surgical treatments for uterine fibroids.He was the first surgeon in the US to perform Adiana female in-office sterilizations, and the first surgeon in Central Texas to perform single umbilical incision laparoscopic hysterectomies.
In 2005, Dr. Akin convinced his partners that they could improve upon Women’s Health Care in Austin. Using his engineering background combined with his medical training, Dr. Akin literally helped draw the plans for the St. David’s North Austin Women’s Center of Texas, which is now one of the largest and most prestigious Women’s Centers in the Country. Austin Area Obstetrics, Gynecology & Fertility moved into this new facility in 2009, and since that time the facility has become Austin’s undisputed leader in Women’s Health Care. This center now delivers 7,000 babiesa year, over 25% of all deliveries in Austin.The Women’s Center has 24-7 coverage with obstetrical hospitalists and 6 maternal fetal medicine specialists, a 24 bed antepartum unit with intensive care for pregnant women, and a 60 bed neonatal intensive care unit. Dr. Akin has worked with many attorney practices throughout the United States as an expert medical witness rendering opinions, depositions and trial testimony for both defendants and plaintiffs. He was the testifying physician for the first federal case involving EMTALA, a law which guarantees patients emergency access to medical care regardless of financial status.In the Spring of 2017, he testified before the Texas House and Senate Subcommittees to promote a new bill requiring all insurance companies to provide coverage for 3-D mammography as a part of routine annual exams for women.Since then, Governor Abbot has signed the new bill into law, which went into effect January 1, 2018.He has also opined on obstetrical and gynecologic malpractice lawsuits, using accepted standards of care to base his opinions.He has used this vast experience with complicated cases to help educate other physicians and nurses in the Women’s Center, and to advance the quality of care provided to women.
Dr. Akin has participated in over 100 FDA Clinical Trials during his career including the HPV Vaccine development study, breast cancer, oral contraceptive pills, acne, osteoporosis, fetal fibronectin, hormone replacement, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, urinary incontinence, arteriosclerosis and statin drugs.Among those trials completed, many new drugs and diagnostic tests have become a part of routine treatments for women. Most recently, he was the principle investigator of a study using the new Dysis colposcope, a new sophisticated computerized method of diagnosing cervical cancer. Dr. Akin has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Texas, Department of Biomedical Engineering, as well as the St David’s Davinci Robot Conference.
Dr. Akin met his wife Debi at the University of Texas, fell madly in love and got married at age 21! They have remained happily married for 45 years.Their three children, Amanda, Adam, and Abbey, all live in Austin and have produced eight grandchildrenin 3 ½ years.Dr. Akin applied his engineering skills to his Austin home as well, creating one of the largest lily ponds in Austin, a 1,200 foot-long maze, and a playscape for grandchildren, including a pirate ship which is larger than Christopher Columbus’ Santa Maria!His personal hobbies include water gardening, spending time with family, various home improvement projects, drag racing, and attending University of Texas football and basketball games.
Dr. Marco Uribe’s gynecological practice at Austin Area OB/GYN focuses on preventive care, preconceptual counseling, infertility, menopause, and the diagnosis and management of pelvic prolapse and urinary incontinence. This includes urodynamic testing to better determine the specific causes of voiding dysfunction. He has also been working with bio identical hormone therapy for over 20 years, and focuses on replacement therapy that helps restore a woman’s hormone balance with the intent of achieving a better quality of life.
Dr. Uribe has an interest in both high-risk and low risk obstetrics. He has also had extensive experience in minimally invasive surgery including performing complex procedures with hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, which significantly reduce postoperative recovery time.
He is assisted in his office practice by his physician assistant Amy Grove, who is a graduate of Medical College of Georgia. Amy has a special interest in polycystic ovarian syndrome and infertility. His practice is also complemented by his NP/CNM Natalie Carreras who trained at Emory University. Natalie has a special interest in bio identical hormone replacement therapy.
Dr. Marco Uribe is a native of Laredo, Texas where he grew up as the only son among seven sisters. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University. He obtained his Medical Doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine affiliated hospitals in Houston where he served as Chief Resident. He began his practice at AAOBGYN in 1994 after spending several years at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston where he served as Assistant Chief of OB/GYN.
Dr. Uribe is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Texas Medical Society, the Travis County Medical Society, and a number of specialty related organizations. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Physician Distribution and Healthcare Access Committee of the TMA. He has held a clinical faculty position at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and he has received numerous faculty of the year teaching awards for surgical instructional training. His clinical skills have been recognized by numerous organizations and periodicals including Austin Monthly, Austin Fit, and Texas Monthly.
He and his wife Melissa have a very close knit family. He enjoys raising horses, ranching, fishing, and watching his sons participate in numerous sports activities.

Mimi Rogers, MD, is a skilled and practiced doctor of medicine at Austin Area Obstetrics Gynecology and Fertility in Austin, Texas.
Dr. Rogers is originally from San Antonio, Texas. She moved to Austin to pursue her education and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin (Utexas).
She then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio - UT Health San Antonio (Uthscsa) for medical school. She remained in San Antonio to complete her residency training.
While in residency, Dr. Rogers was acknowledged for her excellence in teaching by receiving the Resident Teaching Award. She also received awards for her surgical skills, the Outstanding Resident in Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) Award and the AAGL Award for Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology.
Dr. Rogers is thrilled to be back in Austin and to be joining Austin Area Obstetrics Gynecology and Fertility. She is passionate about women’s health care and providing compassionate care to the women of this community.

Dr. Cowan Joined Austin Area Obstetrics, Gynecology and Fertility in 2000 and has helped women in and around Austin, Texas to find improved health and deliver healthy, happy babies by providing high quality gynecological and obstetric services.
Dr. Cowan is a native of Hillsboro, Texas and completed his undergraduate work in biology at the University of Texas in 1987.He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. His residency in obstetrics and gynecology was completed at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in 1995, where he was chief resident.
He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and past President of the Travis County Medical Society and past board member of the Blood and Tissue Center in Austin. Dr. Cowan serves on numerous committees for the University of Texas including Chancellors Council, the Briscoe Center for American History and College of Natural Sciences Advisory Counsel.

Dr. Christopher Seeker has been with Austin Area Obstetrics, Gynecology & Fertility since 1988. He is assisted in his office by his three certified nurse practitioners: Kelly Reagan, Casey Friesenhahn, and Jaki Lockwood. They complement Dr. Seeker’s practice by providing obstetric, gynecologic, and fertility visits.
Dr. Seeker is a native of Odessa Texas and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock earning a degree in chemistry in 1980. He obtained his doctor of medicine from The University of Texas Health & Science Center in San Antonio in 1984 where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical society. Dr. Seeker did his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor, where he was chief resident, and at Parkland Memorial Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Association and American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Seeker is one of the most popular and recognized Central Texas physicians. Many local organizations and periodicals (Texas Monthly, Austin American-Statesman, etc) have singled him out as an outstanding physician. He attributes his success to his faith in God and his steadfast dedication to women’s health. He regards the role of family as sacred.
He and his wife Ann have three children (Paige, Luke, and Blake Ann). The Seeker family spends much of their free time on their working Texas Cattle Ranch and Pecan farm near Austin.

After completing his Bachelor of Science in chemistry at South Dakota School Mines and Technology in Rapid City, South Dakota, Dr. Handcock went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Dr. Handcock then completed his OB/GYN residency at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, Baylor Scott and White Health (BSW) in Temple, Texas.
He holds a Texas medical license and is a professional member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Medical Association (AMA).
In addition to excellent patient care, Dr. Handcock has been voted best teacher by Texas A&M medical students, best upper-level teacher by his colleagues, and best upper-level teaching resident. He’s also received the best surgeon award from AAGL.
When he’s not taking care of his patients, Dr. Handcock volunteers his time promoting fitness and health. He is an avid runner qualifying and competing in the Boston Marathon multiple times. He also enjoys outdoor activities with his partner, Dan, and their dog Finnigan.
Elliot Groff, DO is an OB/GYN at Women’s Health Domain in Austin Texas. He has special interests in robotic surgery as well as other minimally invasive techniques in gynecologic care in addition to his interest in general obstetrics.
Growing up in the San Antonio area, he earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio prior to moving to Glendale, Arizona for a Masters in Biomedical Science as well as his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. He and his wife, Kristy, then moved to Pensacola, Florida where he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology through the University of Florida at Ascension Sacred Heart. There he learned to champion his patients and work through often complex medical issues with patience and understanding. During his residency, he earned the award for Outstanding Resident in Gynecologic Oncology from the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.
He holds a Texas Medical license and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Groff enjoys spending time with his wife Kristy and their two cats. He and Kristy are avid foodies, often found seeking the best coffee and food Austin has to offer. With a passion for cycling and the outdoors, Dr. Groff is active in the Austin cycling community.
Amy M. Chapman, MD, MBA, is a highly experienced board-certified OB/GYN at Women's Health Domain in Austin, Texas. Dr. Chapman has been recognized by her peers as a Top Doc 2020 and 2022 in Austin Monthly Magazine.
Dr. Chapman earned her Bachelor of Arts in zoology at The University of Texas (UT) at Austin in Austin, Texas. She then graduated, with honors, with her Doctor of Medicine, from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas, and was one of the top 10 students in her medical class. During medical school she earned membership into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Hambrock-McGanity Award in OB/GYN. Continuing her training in Texas, Dr. Chapman completed her OB/GYN residency at Baylor Scott and White Health (BSW) in Temple, Texas. Throughout residency Amy excelled at laproscopic procedures and earned entry into the AAGL and the Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures Award.
Dedicated to her profession, Dr. Chapman is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). She's also a professional member of the Texas Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds a Texas state medical license.
Personally, Dr. Chapman is a native Austinite. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband Billy and their two talented teenage daughters. Amy is passionate about good food, wine, her Peloton, and running the Cap 10K annually.
Katie Boswell, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and integrative medicine practitioner at Women's Health Domain in Austin, Texas. She’s one of Austin Monthly Magazine Top Doctors, receiving the honor in 2022 and 2023.
After completing her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology with a concentration in social aspects of health and disease in 2006 from The University of Texas-Austin, Dr. Boswell went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2010. Dr. Boswell then completed her OB/GYN residency in 2014 at University of Texas-Dell program in Austin. Desiring to further advance her training, Dr. Boswell completed a fellowship from 2020-2022 through the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.
She holds a Texas medical license and is a professional member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and is a Texas Exes Life Member (go longhorns!).
In addition to excellent patient care, Dr. Boswell has received numerous teaching and leadership awards throughout training and clinical practice including the 2023 teaching award from the family medicine program in Round Rock, TX. She also received the best surgeon award from AAGL in 2014 upon residency graduation.
When not taking care of patients, Dr. Boswell is spending time with her high school sweetheart, Brian, who is a wealth manager in the area and their three children: June, Elsie and Bear. Dr. Boswell is dedicated in many ways to the lifestyle she advocates for through good food, her Peloton, and is a novice beekeeper.
