Dr. Susie Kupferman is a double Board Certified Urogynecologist and Gynecologist at Eastside Medical Park Women's Group. The doctor offers many personalized services to her patients, including treatment for prolapse, incontinence, frequent urination, painful intercourse, vaginal atrophy, fibroids, menopause, and heavy menstrual bleeding. At the facility, the doctor has the latest technological advancements available to help her make the most accurate diagnosis possible. Dr. Kupferman graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her OB/GYN residency at the same university. The doctor then completed her fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. After moving to Seattle, Washington, she earned a second fellowship in Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Virginia Mason Hospital. Since that time, she has continued to pursue her education focusing on her areas of specialization.
“Dr. Kupferman walked into the room and was immediately so rude and dismissive of me in our first encounter. This was our first time meeting, and I was trying to find a permanent OBGYN physician to see since I moved here recently.
She cut me off, ignored my questions to better understand my body. I requested hormone testing because I had been on and off birth control and experiencing hair loss and heavier PMS symptoms, and she declined and just wrote me a prescription for another pill “to try.” Every question I asked to get a good patient/doctor relationship going, she kept rudely saying “as I said, a pill will fix your concerns.” I gave her medical history of issues that came up in last few years, and she said “well that’s resolved now since what you’re telling me was 2 years ago.”
During the PAP smear, she didn’t give me a warning that she was doing a colposcopy, but snipped my cervix and said I’d be bleeding and I’ve had PAPs done before and did not experience this.
Also during the PAP smear, her nurse/person assisting in the room with us walked out to grab something and just swung the door open and came back in without warning, and I could hear male voices in the hallway walking by. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional to treat me so objectively and dismissively.
Might have been my worst doctor experience in my life. I did not feel cared for/treated kindly. I am disappointed and honestly taken aback that she’s been practicing this long. ”
