James Hawkins, DO, is a vein specialist certified by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine, with over 30 years of experience. At Fox Valley Vein Centers, Dr. Hawkins serves patients living in and around Sandwich, Yorkville, and Aurora, Illinois.

Dr. Hawkins was born just outside of Chicago in Evergreen Park. He earned his undergraduate degree from Benedictine College, located in Lisle, Illinois, followed by his medical degree from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. Hawkins then completed his subsequent residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, located in Chicago.

Today, Dr. Hawkins is a registered vascular technologist and a registered physician in vascular interpretation. Dr. Matthew King is a board-certified gynecologist.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He then completed his specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology here in Chicago at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he also served as chief resident.
 
After practicing on the east coast, Dr. King is excited to return home to Chicago and join the Progressive Care for Women team and the staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.  His goal as a gynecologist is to provide his patients with individualized evidence-based medical care so they can make informed healthcare decisions and take charge of their health.

Dr. Nash’s interests include uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and menopause. She is also a breast cancer survivor and has a special interest in the care of breast cancer survivors and women at high risk of breast cancer.

Based in Oak Park, Dr. Lyndon Taylor has treated many women who live in Oak Park and in the near west suburbs of Chicago. Ewa A. Bilinski, MD, provides caring gynecologic and obstetrics care to patients at Women for Women OBGYN, SC in Forest Glen of Chicago. She knows her patients very well, and enjoys talking with women about their children, how things are going at work, and how they are feeling generally.

Dr. Bilinski completed medical school at Wroclaw Medical University in Poland. She then completed a family medicine residency at Swedish Covenant Hospital, located in Chicago, followed by an obstetrics and gynecology residency at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital Chicago. Kornelia Krol, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN offering her expert care at Women for Women OBGYN, SC in Forest Glen of Chicago. Active in local, national, and international medical societies, Dr. Krol also devotes countless hours to charitable causes benefiting the Polish community in Chicago. She serves women of all ethnicities and by speaking three languages (English, Polish, and Serbo-Croatian) she is especially popular among women of Slavic origin. My ideal client would be someone who comes into therapy struggling with life’s problems. It could be mental health issues, addiction, relationship problems, family problems, low self-esteem, guilt and shame, or spiritual emptiness. These clients want to be able to function in their life and find some measure of meaning and purpose in order to obtain peace, serenity, and satisfaction.

My approach has always been what Carl Rogers called the power of the “therapeutic relationship”, which includes: unconditional positive regard, compassion, genuineness, empathy, and congruency. We help to empower the client by encouraging them to find their own solutions, which always lie within them. One of my specialties is exploring spirituality.

Empathy is built by establishing a trusting relationship and letting the client know that you fully accept them for who they are.
