Thao Nguyen, OBGYN is a caring and empathetic member of the team at Frisco Obstetrics and Gynecology, PA, in Frisco, Texas. She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She is a Baylor alumna who earned her medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. She then trained at John Peter Smith (JPS) county hospital in Fort Worth, where she became a well-rounded obstetrician and gynecologist by caring for girls and women from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

She derives pleasure in bringing comfort to women in their pivotal health care experiences. Her most cherished moments in medicine are when patients tell her she helped make a difference in their lives. As a proponent for diversity and accessibility to health care, she utilizes her medical knowledge and her fluency in Vietnamese to volunteer at events where healthcare is delivered to the underserved population in Dallas-Fort Worth.

She currently holds an officer position in Vietnamese Health Professional Association as well as donating her time at Hope Clinic in McKinney – Free Health Clinic.

Dr. Nguyen provides preventative care for all women of any orientation as well as caring for their gynecological issues. She also provides care for all phases of pregnancy and the postpartum period. She practices a wide range of gynecological surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures with certification in robotic surgeries and new techniques such as ExCITE and vNOTES.

While encouraging women to be their healthiest selves, Dr. Nguyen practices what she preaches. She enjoys staying fit by jogging, hiking, and attending fitness classes. Dr. Nguyen’s weekends are filled with spending time with her young siblings, eating at Indian buffets, playing board games, and of course, winding down with a good TV binge.

Luis DeLeon Usuga, MD, is a board-certified obstetrics and gynecology specialist and founder of Dr. DeLeon's Woman's Health Care, a wellness and obstetrics center in Rowlett, a northeastern suburb of Dallas, Texas. Dr. DeLeon began his journey to his medical career more than three decades ago in Medellin, Colombia, at the University of Antioquia, where he earned his medical degree and received surgical training, graduating with honors. He continued his postdoctoral clinical training with an internship at Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida.

Dr. DeLeon then went on to complete two residencies, an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Puerto Rico-School of Medicine, and a general surgery residency at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pennsylvania. In addition to serving his patients, Dr. DeLeon mentors future doctors as a preceptor. He’s active in many medical and professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.

Despite his busy schedule, each year Dr. DeLeon organizes an annual medical mission to Colombia as part the Latin America Medical Assistance, a non-profit he founded and also serves as president. Dr. DeLeon is also founding board member of the North Texas Latin American Physicians Association, which was originally established to provide scholarships to North Texas Latin American medical students.

In his free time, Dr. DeLeon enjoys spending time with his wife Maria, his longtime practice manager, and their children.
