She interned in general surgery at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Petruzzelli has worked as an OB/GYN for over 20 years, most recently at the Center for Women's Health and Midwifery in New Haven, Connecticut, as a hospitalist.
Formerly a competitive bodybuilder, Dr. Petruzzelli understands the importance of physical fitness and sound nutrition. She continues to live an active lifestyle and stresses the importance of mind-body interaction through her daily meditation practice, where she is a student and teacher at Odiyana Buddhist Center in Glastonbury, Connecticut. Dr. Petruzzelli’s commitment to education and her years of experience in integrative medicine have made her an expert in her field.

Mayor Boughton declared October 8th “Dr. M. Satchi Day” in the City of Danbury, Connecticut, for his service and generosity to the community. Dr. M. Satchi served on the Executive Committee at Danbury Hospital for ten years, the highest-level committee for all hospital decisions. He supports several nonprofits and is on the Board of Directors at the Community Health Center, a medical clinic for underserved populations in Connecticut. He traveled to Sri Lanka after the 2004 tsunami to run medical clinics.
Outside the office, Dr. M. Satchi enjoys spending time with his wife, a successful pediatrician in Danbury, his three daughters and son-in-law, and his five grandchildren. His passions also include ballroom dancing, architecture, and cooking French cuisine.
