After graduating from medical school at the University of California at San Diego, Dr. Gago and her husband decided to return to her native Ann Arbor to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Michigan.
Following her residency, Dr. Gago went on to complete a rigorous reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, where she ultimately accepted an assistant clinical professor position. Just one year later, Dr. Gago became the University of Michigan In Vitro Fertilization Medical Director, during which time she developed the Fertility Preservation Program and the Donor Oocyte Program.
Dr. Gago’s goal was always to have the freedom to provide state-of-the-art fertility care and complementary wellness programs for couples trying to conceive. That’s why she launched Gago Center for Fertility nearly 12 years ago.
Since then, the practice has grown to serve more couples in the Brighton, Lansing, and Ann Arbor communities. In 2014, Dr. Gago opened Gago IVF, an IVF lab in a peaceful setting, so that couples can enjoy individualized fertility care in a comfortable environment.
Dr. Gago is passionate about helping couples start the family of their dreams. At Gago Center for Fertility, she can do just that.

Dr. Ahmad earned his medical degree in 1998 and completed his residency training at HMC in Flint, MI. Dr. Ahmad is triple Board Certified in Obgyn, Minimal invasive gynecology & pediatric & adolescent Gynecology. He is a clinical professor of OB/GYN for MSU College of Human Medicine. Dr. Ahmad is the Chairman of Obgyn at HMC. The only bad experience I am having is with administration. I’ve been trying to call the billing department for two weeks now because I want to move forward with fertility treatment, but needed some clarification on a few points before moving forward. I’ve left messages with no response. It’s frustrating because now I’ve missed my current cycle and have to wait for my next cycle to proceed with treatment. I am now second guessing with proceeding due to this experience. ”
