She completed her residency in dermatology and venereology at M. P. Shah Medical College in Gujarat, India. She then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. Dr. Patel is board-certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and she is affiliated with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (who gave her a “Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures” award), the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Yana Markidan, a board-certified OB/GYN, is the founder of Markidan Gynecology and Women's Health. She has been providing care to women in the Princeton, New Jersey area since 2012 and is highly regarded as a skilled clinician, surgeon, and advocate for her patients.

She earned her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C., where she was the recipient of the Rachel Morris Dominick Award. The award is presented annually to a member of the graduating class who has demonstrated outstanding ability in obstetrics and gynecology. 

After graduating, she completed her residency at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, currently of the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

Dr. Shira Alter received her medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in Ramat Gan, Israel. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Alter previously was a faculty physician at Sheba Medical Center and a regional health specialist at Maccabi Health Center in Israel. Dr. Alter is particularly skilled in treating women with high-risk pregnancies and specializes in providing care for diabetic patients. In addition to her extensive medical background, Dr. Alter has a Masters of Science degree in Psychological Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Alter is fluent in Hebrew.

Dr. Kathleen Zafra is an experienced OB/GYN and received her medical degree with the Global Scholars Program of Saint George’s University. Dr. Zafra completed her OB/GYN residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where she was honored with the Resident Achievement Award and the Excellence in Teaching Award in recognition for both her outstanding patient care and her commitment to medical student education. Dr. Zafra obtained her Bachelor’s in Biology and Public Health at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she performed research that was published in the Journal of Biology and Reproduction.

Alina Fuchs MD MBS BS has obstetrics and gynecology and medicine in her genes. Her aunt Dr. Smekuna was the delivering OB/Gyn with her birth. Her uncle Dr. M Fuks and Dr. A. Fuks are both practicing physicians, her mother Dr. M Fuchs is a dentist. And her husband Dr. Alexeev is a current pain management fellow. 

She received bachelor of science from Rutgers University. Master’s degree of biomedical sciences at UMDNJ. Medical degree from American University of Antigua, College of Medicine. She completed her internship in obstetrics and gynecology at Nassau University Medical Center and her residency training at Maimonides Medical Center where she served as a chief resident. 

Dr. Fuchs offers a full spectrum of women’s health services, including pap tests, contraception counseling, STD testing, LEEP, and sterilization. After graduating she has been practicing in central New Jersey where she provides care to women in all stages of their life; from family planning to menopause. She is fluent in Russian. 

When she is not with patients, Dr. Fuchs loves spending times with her family. Her husband and son.

Dr. Katarzyna Perlman received her medical degree from Semmelweis University School of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary, and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Perlman completed her residency in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She has received the Laparoscopy and Endoscopy Award from the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists as well as the Finalist Award from the Brooklyn Gynecological Society. Dr. Perlman is currently the Director of Urodynamics at Boro Park OB/GYN. She is particularly qualified in Urodynamics and in performing Essures and Hystrosonograms. Dr. Perlman is fluent in Polish, Swedish, and Hungarian. She enjoys theatre, traveling and spending time with her family.

Edan Yodfat, MD is a board-certified and fellow-trained physician in obstetrics and gynecology at Boro Park OB/GYN in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Yodfat provides comprehensive women’s services and is highly trained in complex gynecological procedures like Essure® permanent birth control, assisting vaginal births following a C-section (VBAC), and performing hysterectomies and other laparoscopic surgeries.

Jen Wilen saw her first birth as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa nearly 20 years ago and knew then that she wanted to become a midwife. After the Peace Corps, Jen got her Masters in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She then spent a decade working in global health and women's rights, spending much of that time overseas. She later obtained both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and her Masters in Midwifery from Columbia University. Prior to joining Boro Park, Jen worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn. Jen speaks both Spanish and French and loves caring for women and babies from all of the wonderfully diverse communities that call Brooklyn their home.

Dr. Yvonne Noel is a board-certified OB/GYN. She received her doctorate degree in medicine from Chicago Medical School and her undergraduate degree from William Smith College in Geneva, New York. Dr. Noel completed her internship and residency in OB/GYN at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn-Kings County Medical Center. She also completed a Fellowship in Pelvic Surgery at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. Dr. Noel has previously held positions such as Clinical Assistant Instructor and Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cornell University and SUNY Health Science Center. Dr. Noel holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Education and Conservation and has focused on Health and Climate Change.

Dr. Elaine Sklarhas completed 28 years with Boro Park and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. Dr. Sklar was appointed Chief Resident while completing her residency in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Alla Bodner, MD, is a board-certified OB-GYN and women's health specialist with extensive experience in cosmetic injectables. Dr. Bodner brings over a decade of expertise to DK Med Spa, which has offices in Northshore Northbrook, Illinois, and the Midtown of Manhattan in New York City.

Dr. Bodner received her bachelor's degree from Lake Forest College in Illinois before earning her medical degree from Ross University Medical School. Dr. Bodner went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. She became board-certified in 2015 by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In her practice, Dr. Bodner specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic techniques and the DaVinci Robotic Surgical System. Dr. Kenneth A. Levey completed both college and medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his residency on Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2001 and his Masters in Public Health in 2001 at the George Washington University Medical Center. He has been a faculty member at the NYU Langone Medical Center since 2001. While at NYU, Dr. Levey founded the Bellevue Hospital chronic pelvic pain clinic where women with chronic pelvic pain continue to be treated.  He is also the founder and Director of the NY Pelvic Pain and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery P.C. The group of subspecialty physicians focuses on unique multidisciplinary approaches to diagnose and manage women with chronic pelvic pain. This includes endometriosis, irritable bowel syndrome, interstitial cystitis, nerve entrapments, pelvic musculoskeletal disorders, rheumatologic disorder, gastrointestinal, female reproductive, and psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Levey is a well known expert in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He has used his skills in laparoscopy and robotic surgery to help women avoid hysterectomy, treat fibroids, endometriosis, large pelvic masses and chronic pelvic pain. Dr. Hobbs is fellowship trained by experts in the field of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and the management of pelvic pain.

She completed her undergraduate coursework at UNC-Chapel Hill and medical school at New York University School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency training on Obstetrics and Gynecology. While at NYU, where she earned laparoscopic surgery and resident teaching awards, she gained an appreciation and interest for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

She then returned to UNC-Chapel Hill in order to pursue further training in minimally invasive surgery and pelvic pain with Drs. John Steege and Matthew Siedhoff, renowned practitioners in the field. There, she performed hundreds of complex laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries, including advanced endometriosis, large ovarian masses, hysterectomy of large uteri as well as removal of multiple large fibroids through small incisions. She also successfully treated many women with pelvic pain who were referred from locations around the South East.

In addition to her extensive clinical training, Dr. Hobbs also obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Research. She is passionate about training others as well as conducting clinical research in order to improve outcomes for patients. She has numerous peer-reviewed publications and is an active participant in minimally invasive gynecologic surgical societies.
