Dr. Gwen Allen of the Gardena Women’s Center in Gardena, California, specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and has a passion for helping women of all ages receive the best in women’s healthcare — from pregnancy to menopause.
Dr. Allen began her medical training at the University of California, Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine. From there she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, and has been practicing medicine since 1998.

She attended the University of California, Berkeley in Berkley, California, and then obtained her medical degree from the University of California San Francisco Parnassus Campus in San Francisco, California.
After graduating, Dr. Wilson completed her residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in West Carson, California, and has worked in Southern California since.
Dr. Wilson knew from a young age that she wanted to go into medicine as she was always interested in human behavior and the mind-body connection. She completed medical internships at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and Stanford University in Stanford, California, further supporting her desire to practice medicine.
She first joined Plaza-Towers Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1996, where, as one of the busiest practices at Cedars-Sinai, she followed and delivered low and high-risk pregnancies and performed gynecological surgeries and procedures. Dr. Wilson enjoyed teaching residents at both Cedars-Sinai and UCLA Medical Centers.
From 2000-2017, she worked with The Beverly Hills Group of Women’s Physicians with offices in Beverly Hills and Manhattan Beach, California. In the summer of 2018, Dr. Wilson rejoined Plaza-Towers Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Lupe Mendoza was born and raised in the city of Inglewood, California. Her parents immigrated here from Michoacán, Mexico, in hopes to give her a better life and were her inspiration into pursuing a career that would make a difference in people’s lives and allow her to help others.
Ms. Mendoza attended Santa Monica College and shortly after graduated from West Coast Ultrasound Institute as an Ultrasound technician. Throughout the years she has gained experience in general ultrasounds such as thyroid, abdomen, pelvic, vascular and breasts.
Exploring all of SoCal’s beaches is her favorite pass time with her daughter Athena when she isn’t at work. And indulging in hikes to ground with Mother Nature and her friends is what she looks forward to when she isn’t spending time with family.
With an extensive background in women’s health, Raffi Chalian, MD, FACOG, is a highly regarded and trusted OB/GYN. He welcomes new and existing patients to his private practice Raffi Chalian, M.D. in Glendale, California.
Dr. Chalian earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College in London. After relocating to New York, Dr. Chalian went through an internship at New York University Downtown Hospital. He then completed a top-rated obstetrics and gynecology residency and fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Currently, Dr. Chalian is board-certified in gynecologic oncology and obstetrics and gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He’s also a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Throughout his career, Dr. Chalian has held several prestigious leadership positions in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Chalian has held faculty appointments at some of Philadelphia’s most distinguished educational facilities, including the University of Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson Medical School — now Sidney Kimmel Medical College — and Temple University. He also served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Fluent in English, Armenian, and Greek, Dr. Chalian enjoys conversing with patients who would otherwise struggle with language barriers. He’s known for providing patient-centric care, where each decision is made in conjunction with the individual patient after discussions about various treatment plans. Patients of Dr. Chalian appreciate his excellent bedside manner and natural ability to be attentive during appointments. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, hiking and spending time with his family and friends. He believes that good interpersonal relationships (with friends, family and colleagues) capture the essence of good living.
