Tushar Shetty, MD joined the team at Capital Women's Care Frederick in 2024. Raised in Metro Detroit, Dr. Shetty completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Science in both Neuroscience and Spanish in 2014. He then worked as a secondary education teacher through Teach for America in Southwest Detroit. Through that experience, he gained an interest in health education, especially in teen pregnancy as the school accommodated pregnant students. This brought him to medicine, where he completed his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2020, further growing his passion for women's health. He stayed in Detroit to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Detroit Medical Center - Hutzel Women's Hospital in 2024.

Dr. Shetty is passionate about holistic obstetric and gynecologic care, offering comprehensive services and acute care. He is training in minimally invasive surgery. His interests include uterine fibroids management and contraceptive care. He understands his unique position as a provider allows him to serve as an advocate for women, and aspires to provide longitudinal care from adolescence to post-menopause. About Dr. Young

As a leader in modern women’s health solutions and a highly regarded gynecologic surgeon, Carolynn Young, MD, is a trusted physician for women of all ages. Dr. Young treats patients at Rockville Gynecology in Rockville, Maryland.

After completing her undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dr. Young was accepted into medical school. She earned her doctor of medicine from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. 

Dr. Young then completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency through Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She’s currently board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists.

Throughout her career, Dr. Young has gained extensive experience in pelvic floor surgery and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Young regularly speaks at conferences and teaches her peers about modern surgical procedures and women’s health topics. She has special interests in uterine fibroids, abnormal bleeding, contraception, adolescent gynecology, and abnormal Pap smears. 

Dr. Young was even the first physician to perform robotic surgery using the da Vinci® system at the Johns Hopkins Medicine Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2009. She continues to utilize the da Vinci system to perform hysterectomy, myomectomy, resection of endometriosis, and removal of ovarian cyst procedures. 

Outside of Rockville Gynecology, Dr. Young serves as the co-director of the Robotic Surgery Steering Committee at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. Because of her expertise and dedication to patient care, Dr. Young was recognized as the Top Doctor in the Washingtonian magazine every year since 2015. 

When she’s not busy caring for patients, Dr. Young enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She likes to travel to experience new cultures, exercise, read, and go on boat rides. Dr. Young truly enjoys learning about and experiencing anything to do with Italy.

Board-certified OB/GYN Roy Khoury, MD, FACOG has extensive training in overall women’s health and modern gynecological surgery. He’s currently accepting new patients at Capital Women’s Care.

Dr. Khoury completed both his undergraduate degree and medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Philadelphia. He went through his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.

To further his expertise, Dr. Khoury then completed advanced training in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques through the Johnson & Johnson Institute/Ethicon Endosurgery (EES) fellowship program. He’s also a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Khoury continues to be involved in medical teaching and education. Throughout his career, Dr. Khoury has received numerous awards and was even recognized as the Best Teaching Educator at Holy Cross Hospital. He currently serves as an assistant clinical professor at The George Washington University and president of the medical executive committee at the Maryland Surgery Center for Women.

Being fluent in English, French, Arabic, and medical Spanish allows Dr. Khoury to communicate with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. When he’s away from the clinic, Dr. Khoury enjoys skiing, tennis, and spending time with his wife and two children.

- Dr. Adebusola Awosanya is a Nigerian-American Obstetrician and Gynecologist who grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and went on to complete her medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine. She later completed her residency training at Howard University Hospital, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

She is particularly passionate about advancing women’s health in underserved communities. Dr. Awosanya provides compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in empowering women to make informed decisions about their health. Her clinical interests include general obstetrics, contraception counseling, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and the management of fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, and other common gynecologic conditions.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Awosanya enjoys staying active with Solidcore, cooking, exploring new brunch spots, and spending quality time with her friends and family. She strives to ensure that every patient receives high-quality care tailored to their individual needs and delights in serving as a trusted partner throughout each patient’s healthcare journey.

Kathleen Gerbert, MD, FACOG, is a valued board-certified OB/GYN team member at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania, specifically in Lancaster, Intercourse, and Willow Street. Dr. Gerbert provides a friendly and inviting environment at the practice. She is dedicated to supporting her patients through every aspect of their health care needs and is committed to providing top quality care.

Dr. Gerbert joined the May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology team in 1988 as their first female physician. Trailblazing the path forward, she was influential in establishing nurse-midwives at the practice.

Dr. Gerbert graduated from Hahnemann University Medical School in Philadelphia. She then continued at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati for an internship and residency. One of her main special interests is treating menopausal issues. Dr. Gerbert has hospital privileges at Lancaster General Hospital and Lancaster General Women and Babies Hospital. She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, a diplomat at the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, and member of the International Society of Certified Bone Densitometrists.

When Dr. Gerbert isn’t in the office, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband, fellow May-Grant physician Bryan Yingling, and their two daughters.

Andres Martiny, DO, board-certified OB/GYN, is an expert in general obstetrics and gynecology and minimally invasive da Vinci® robotic surgery. He works as a physician at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Nils Stenman, MD, is a phenomenal board-certified OB/GYN serving the communities of Lancaster, Willow Street, and Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, since 2009 at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Dr. Stenman began his journey toward becoming a physician while he completed his undergraduate degree at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Afterward, he received his medical education at Jefferson Medical College located in Philadelphia and stayed in the same area to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital.

Elizabeth Roth, MD, is a compassionate obstetrician and gynecologist at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is proud to provide a wide range of services to women in Intercourse, Norlanco, and Good Drive, Pennsylvania. Dr. Roth has hospital privileges at Lancaster General Hospital and Women & Babies Hospital, both in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Roth received her doctorate of medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 2016. She then completed her residency training at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, located just outside of Philadelphia.

She is passionate about using an individualized approach to care regarding each woman’s health. Dr. Roth values communication with her patients and strives to build a trusting relationship with them, as well as to promote patient education. She is trained in minimally invasive surgery, including da Vinci robotic surgery.

When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Roth enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, particularly over good food. She also continues to play volleyball in her spare time.

Terri Rapp, MD, has been working as a board-certified OB/GYN at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania, since 2003. She loves helping her patients find ways to optimize their physical health in the communities of Lancaster and Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. She loves working here and considers this her “practice for life”. She has particularly enjoyed her role in helping the practice and hospital transition to computerized medical records.

Dr. Rapp received her medical degree at State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. She then went on to complete her residency at two hospitals in Pittsburgh: University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Mercy Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital.

When Dr. Rapp isn’t in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three very active boys. She enjoys traveling with her husband, watching her boys play sports, taking long walks on the beach, exercise, riding bike, watching tv and reading.

Allison Welch, DO, OB/GYN, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
