Dr. Heyman completed 4 years of undergraduate training at Michigan State University. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she attended medical school at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

After medical school, Dr. Heyman completed her internship and residency at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Her professional interests include minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery, adolescent gynecology, and menopausal gynecology. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, watching movies, traveling, and being outdoors.

Eva Pickler, MD, FACOG, joined Capital Women’s Care (Division 33) in Frederick in May 2024. A native of North Carolina, Dr. Pickler received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After a career in the corporate world, Dr. Pickler went on to earn her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 1998 and completed her residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee in 2002. She remained in Johnson City for fourteen years in private practice before relocating to northern Virginia. She has been an obstetric hospitalist at Frederick Health Hospital since 2017.

Dr. Pickler is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her practice with Capital Women’s Care is focused on caring for the obstetric patient in the hospital setting and performing urgent gynecologic surgeries as needed.

Dr. Pickler is married and has a menagerie of animals. She believes in striving for your goals, one of which she completed for herself in 2021 when she summited Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. In her spare time, she enjoys personal fitness, steeplechase horse racing, and travel, including a yearly trip to Guatemala for medical missions.

About Dr. Young

As a leader in modern women’s health solutions and a highly regarded gynecologic surgeon, Carolynn Young, MD, is a trusted physician for women of all ages. Dr. Young treats patients at Rockville Gynecology in Rockville, Maryland.

After completing her undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dr. Young was accepted into medical school. She earned her doctor of medicine from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. 

Dr. Young then completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency through Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She’s currently board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists.

Throughout her career, Dr. Young has gained extensive experience in pelvic floor surgery and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Young regularly speaks at conferences and teaches her peers about modern surgical procedures and women’s health topics. She has special interests in uterine fibroids, abnormal bleeding, contraception, adolescent gynecology, and abnormal Pap smears. 

Dr. Young was even the first physician to perform robotic surgery using the da Vinci® system at the Johns Hopkins Medicine Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2009. She continues to utilize the da Vinci system to perform hysterectomy, myomectomy, resection of endometriosis, and removal of ovarian cyst procedures. 

Outside of Rockville Gynecology, Dr. Young serves as the co-director of the Robotic Surgery Steering Committee at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. Because of her expertise and dedication to patient care, Dr. Young was recognized as the Top Doctor in the Washingtonian magazine every year since 2015. 

When she’s not busy caring for patients, Dr. Young enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She likes to travel to experience new cultures, exercise, read, and go on boat rides. Dr. Young truly enjoys learning about and experiencing anything to do with Italy.

- Dr. Adebusola Awosanya is a Nigerian-American Obstetrician and Gynecologist who grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and went on to complete her medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine. She later completed her residency training at Howard University Hospital, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

She is particularly passionate about advancing women’s health in underserved communities. Dr. Awosanya provides compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in empowering women to make informed decisions about their health. Her clinical interests include general obstetrics, contraception counseling, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and the management of fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, and other common gynecologic conditions.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Awosanya enjoys staying active with Solidcore, cooking, exploring new brunch spots, and spending quality time with her friends and family. She strives to ensure that every patient receives high-quality care tailored to their individual needs and delights in serving as a trusted partner throughout each patient’s healthcare journey.

Board-certified OB/GYN Roy Khoury, MD, FACOG has extensive training in overall women’s health and modern gynecological surgery. He’s currently accepting new patients at Capital Women’s Care.

Dr. Khoury completed both his undergraduate degree and medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Philadelphia. He went through his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.

To further his expertise, Dr. Khoury then completed advanced training in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques through the Johnson & Johnson Institute/Ethicon Endosurgery (EES) fellowship program. He’s also a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Khoury continues to be involved in medical teaching and education. Throughout his career, Dr. Khoury has received numerous awards and was even recognized as the Best Teaching Educator at Holy Cross Hospital. He currently serves as an assistant clinical professor at The George Washington University and president of the medical executive committee at the Maryland Surgery Center for Women.

Being fluent in English, French, Arabic, and medical Spanish allows Dr. Khoury to communicate with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. When he’s away from the clinic, Dr. Khoury enjoys skiing, tennis, and spending time with his wife and two children.

William Bradford, DO, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist also specializing in urogynecology at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania, serving specifically the locations of Lancaster and Brownstown, Pennsylvania. Nils Stenman, MD, is a phenomenal board-certified OB/GYN serving the communities of Lancaster, Willow Street, and Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, since 2009 at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania. His sub-specialties include da Vinci® robotic surgery and in-office procedures including endometrial ablation and hysteroscopy.

Dr. Stenman began his journey toward becoming a physician while he completed his undergraduate degree at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Afterward, he received his medical education at Jefferson Medical College located in Philadelphia and stayed in the same area to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital.

Karen Roberts, MD, is a skilled OB/GYN at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania, specifically in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, and Willow Street. Kathleen Gerbert, MD, FACOG, is a valued board-certified OB/GYN team member at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania, specifically in Lancaster, Intercourse, and Willow Street. Dr. Gerbert graduated from Hahnemann University Medical School in Philadelphia. She then continued at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati for an internship and residency. One of her main special interests is treating menopausal issues. Dr. Gerbert has hospital privileges at Lancaster General Hospital and Lancaster General Women and Babies Hospital. She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, a diplomat at the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, and member of the International Society of Certified Bone Densitometrists.

When Dr. Gerbert isn’t in the office, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband, fellow May-Grant physician Bryan Yingling, and their two daughters.

Andres Martiny, DO, board-certified OB/GYN, is an expert in general obstetrics and gynecology and minimally invasive da Vinci® robotic surgery. Elizabeth Roth, MD, is a compassionate obstetrician and gynecologist at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is proud to provide a wide range of services to women in Intercourse, Norlanco, and Good Drive, Pennsylvania. Dr. Roth has hospital privileges at Lancaster General Hospital and Women & Babies Hospital, both in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Roth received her doctorate of medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 2016. She then completed her residency training at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, located just outside of Philadelphia.

She is passionate about using an individualized approach to care regarding each woman’s health. Dr. Roth values communication with her patients and strives to build a trusting relationship with them, as well as to promote patient education. She is trained in minimally invasive surgery, including da Vinci robotic surgery.

When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Roth enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, particularly over good food. She also continues to play volleyball in her spare time.
