Board-certified OB/GYN Roy Khoury, MD, FACOG has extensive training in overall women’s health and modern gynecological surgery. He’s currently accepting new patients at Capital Women’s Care.

Dr. Khoury completed both his undergraduate degree and medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Philadelphia. He went through his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.

To further his expertise, Dr. Khoury then completed advanced training in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques through the Johnson & Johnson Institute/Ethicon Endosurgery (EES) fellowship program. He’s also a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Khoury continues to be involved in medical teaching and education. Throughout his career, Dr. Khoury has received numerous awards and was even recognized as the Best Teaching Educator at Holy Cross Hospital. He currently serves as an assistant clinical professor at The George Washington University and president of the medical executive committee at the Maryland Surgery Center for Women.

Being fluent in English, French, Arabic, and medical Spanish allows Dr. Khoury to communicate with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. When he’s away from the clinic, Dr. Khoury enjoys skiing, tennis, and spending time with his wife and two children.

About Suzanne Abdelazim, DO

Dr. Suzanne Abdelazim is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care for women throughout every stage of life. She believes in partnering with her patients to create personalized treatment plans and is committed to helping women feel heard, informed, and empowered in their healthcare decisions.

Dr. Abdelazim earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland College Park before receiving her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Virginia in addition to advanced training at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), further expanding her expertise in complex gynecologic care.

Prior to joining the practice, Dr. Abdelazim served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she educated and mentored medical students and resident physicians. She remains passionate about medical education and advancing the field of women’s health.

Dr. Abdelazim provides comprehensive gynecologic care with special interests in minimally invasive surgery and preventive women’s health, infertility, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, menopause, and other gynecologic conditions. She has experience performing both laparoscopic and robotic minimally invasive surgeries, allowing many patients to benefit from smaller incisions, faster recovery times, and less postoperative discomfort.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Abdelazim has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications during her time at the NIH, and is the author of The Endometriosis Fertility Plan: Optimizing Your Fertility with Endometriosis. She has also been featured in multiple media interviews and appearances including FOX45 Baltimore where she has shared her expertise on a variety of women’s health topics and remains committed to educating patients both inside and outside the exam room. Dr. Abdelazim was also awarded Top Doctor Baltimore Award 2025.

About Dr. Young

As a leader in modern women’s health solutions and a highly regarded gynecologic surgeon, Carolynn Young, MD, is a trusted physician for women of all ages. Dr. Young treats patients at Rockville Gynecology in Rockville, Maryland.

After completing her undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dr. Young was accepted into medical school. She earned her doctor of medicine from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. 

Dr. Young then completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency through Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She’s currently board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists.

Throughout her career, Dr. Young has gained extensive experience in pelvic floor surgery and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Young regularly speaks at conferences and teaches her peers about modern surgical procedures and women’s health topics. She has special interests in uterine fibroids, abnormal bleeding, contraception, adolescent gynecology, and abnormal Pap smears. 

Dr. Young was even the first physician to perform robotic surgery using the da Vinci® system at the Johns Hopkins Medicine Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2009. She continues to utilize the da Vinci system to perform hysterectomy, myomectomy, resection of endometriosis, and removal of ovarian cyst procedures. 

Outside of Rockville Gynecology, Dr. Young serves as the co-director of the Robotic Surgery Steering Committee at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. Because of her expertise and dedication to patient care, Dr. Young was recognized as the Top Doctor in the Washingtonian magazine every year since 2015. 

When she’s not busy caring for patients, Dr. Young enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She likes to travel to experience new cultures, exercise, read, and go on boat rides. Dr. Young truly enjoys learning about and experiencing anything to do with Italy.
