Dr. Arus Zograbyan is a leading OB/GYN physician providing care for patients in Los Angeles, California area. She is a board-certified OB/GYN and holds a position of Chair of OB/GYN Department at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center since 2013. She is also a fourth-generation physician. Her clinical expertise includes comprehensive obstetric care for both low risk, and high risk pregnancies, such as pregnancies complicated by diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease, cervical incompetence, multiple gestation, etc. She also delivers babies with congenital malformations in cooperation with USC perinatologist group and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, California. Dr Zograbyan provides care to a multi-cultural population of patients, and proudly delivers personally more than 95% of her patients’ babies.
Dr Zograbyan also provides preventative care from adolescence through menopause, and offers multiple gynecologic services such as birth control options including IUDs, Nexplanon and sterilizations, STD screening, detection and treatment of abnormal PAP smears, infertility evaluations and treatments, management of abnormal bleeding, fibroids and pelvic organ prolapse, and whole array of gynecologic surgeries.
Dr. Zograbyan received her Doctorate of Medicine from the Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia, where she graduated with honors at the top 2% of her class. She then moved to United States and completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She has performed research in the areas of polycystic ovary syndrome, thyrotoxic cardiomyopathy in pregnancy, and perinatal complications in women with hypothyroidism. During her residency, she received two prestigious awards for her research.
Dr. Zograbyan received her board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2005 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 2007. Her special interests include endocrine disease during pregnancy, particularly diabetes and thyroid disorders.
To Dr. Zograbyan the most rewarding part of her practice is educating patients about their health and pregnancy, helping them to make informed decisions and become active participants in their health care. She is fluent in Armenian, Russian and Spanish.
