Kenneth R. Branton, MD, is a double board-certified pain management physician and the Medical Director of Pain Management Centers of New England and the Beverly Hospital Pain Management Center. He sees patients at the practice’s Newburyport, Massachusetts office and at the Beverly Hospital Pain Management Center in Danvers, Massachusetts (located in the Beth Israel Lahey Patient Care Center).

Dr. Branton is board-certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Economics from Bowdoin College, worked in the Division of Tumor Immunology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his internship at the University of Chicago Hospital, his Anesthesiology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, and his Pain Management fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where he developed subspecialty expertise in cancer-related pain at Dana-Farber.

His interventional treatments include epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, the Intracept procedure for vertebrogenic low back pain, sacroiliac joint radiofrequency, spinal cord stimulation, the mild procedure for lumbar spinal stenosis, and kyphoplasty.

Dr. Branton was one of the first physicians in the Chicago area to perform percutaneous disc decompression with Nucleoplasty radiofrequency technology for contained herniated discs — a technique he was featured performing on Chicago’s NBC affiliate. He was the first physician in New England to perform radiofrequency ablation of the nerves carrying pain signals from the sacroiliac joint using the Simplicity III probe, and he is among the most experienced physicians performing the Intracept procedure on Boston’s North Shore and in the Merrimack Valley.

Dr. Branton previously served as Director of Pain Management at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center in Chicago, where he taught residents and lectured for the Chicago Medical Society and the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists. Charles C. Ho, MD, is a skilled and experienced Doctor of Medicine specializing in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology with Pain Management Centers of New England. Dr. Ho earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, now called Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

He completed his Residency in Surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and a Residency in Anesthesiology from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), the flagship hospital of Penn Medicine in Philadelphia. 

Dr. Ho conducted his Fellowship in Pain Medicine in Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston, Massachusetts, and at Harvard Medical School in Boston.

After completing his fellowship, Dr. Ho was an Associate in Anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at BIDMC. He was also on staff in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at Harrington Memorial Hospital (HMH) in Southbridge, Massachusetts. 

Following this, Dr. Ho was a partner at Beverly Anesthesia Associates and provided anesthesia and pain management services at Beverly Hospital in Beverly, MA, the Lahey Outpatient Center in Danvers, and Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester for over 19 years.

In addition to his work at Pain Management Centers of New England, Dr. Ho provides comprehensive pain care across the North Shore. Dr. Ho's clinical interests include Kyphoplasty, Coolief radiofrequency of the genicular nerves to the knee, and high-frequency spinal cord stimulation (HFX).

Judith Casey, APRN-BC, is the medical director and co-founder of Cutting Edge Testosterone Therapy LLC in Manchester, New Hampshire. In her role as a board-certified nurse practitioner (NP), Judith provides advanced medical solutions to patients, including anti-aging treatments, peptide therapy, medical weight loss, hormone treatments for women and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). 

Judith earned her Master of Science at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, becoming an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner specializing in adult care at every stage of life.

Boris Shwartzman, MD, has devoted much of his life to the study of medicine, with a passion for helping people manage their chronic pain and improve their quality of life. Dr. Shwartzman offers his vast experience, professionalism, and passion to provide patients a comprehensive pain management plan.

Dr. Shwartzman earned his medical degree at Latvia Medical Academy in Riga, Latvia, in 1986. He went on to complete a general surgery internship at Gailezers Hospital in Latvia, where he served as staff surgeon until 1989. Dr. Shwartzman then completed a transitional internship at Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, before moving on to a surgery internship at New England Medical Center, now called Tufts Medical Center.

Dr. Shwartzman finished residency training in anesthesiology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston in 1996, before moving on to become staff anesthesiologist at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts, a position he continues to hold. He has double board certifications in anesthesia and pain medicine.

In 2007, Dr. Shwartzman co-founded and serves as medical director for Comprehensive Pain Management, where he strives to help his patients manage their long-term pain.
