Dr. Powers then went on to complete a 12-month surgical residency at Lakeside Community Hospital, under the direction of podiatric author and educator, Dr. Irving Pikscher, DPM, in Chicago. Dr. Powers has served as a Podiatric Surgical Instructor at Mercy Hospital, Loyola Ambulatory, Oak Brook Surgical Center from 1992 through 2003. He also served as the Residency director of Sacred Heart Hospital from 1998 to 2003.
