Patrick Burge, DPM, is a highly skilled and deeply compassionate podiatrist who believes in the power of personalized care. Dr. Burge began his educational journey at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering with a biomedical specialization. He earned his medical degree from Temple University, College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He completed a residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, serving as master chief resident for foot and ankle surgery. While there, he did clinical research, won first place for a podium presentation at the JPS Research Symposium, and published several research posters at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Scientific Conference.
One-on-one, customized care is an essential part of Dr. Burge’s practice. He enjoys getting to know the people in his care and gains deep satisfaction in helping them restore or improve their podiatric health.

Bringing over 20 years of medical experience to Arlington/Mansfield Foot & Ankle Centers, Joe T. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Southerland earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. Dr. Southerland returned to Tucker, Georgia, for a three-year podiatric surgery residency at Northlake Regional Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Southerland spent some time teaching in Australia. He has continued to do that over the years and in 2012, he was awarded honorary Fellow of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons for his efforts in teaching surgical techniques of the foot and ankle.

Outside of his work in patient care, Dr. Southerland is renowned for his dedication to education in the field of podiatry. He is the former chairman of the Board of Directors of the Podiatry Institute, a non profit teaching institution, and he served as chief editor of the fourth edition of McGlamry’s Comprehensive Textbook of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Southerland is bilingual, offering the same level of exceptional, compassionate care for his Spanish-speaking patients.
When he isn’t in the office, Dr. Southerland spends much of his time with his wife, Kimberly, and their two children. He is an avid golfer and cyclist.
